Listen to this chapter:

James returned home, but his family was out, and he'd left his keys. He wasn't in the Callahan family group chat and didn't know they were at their villa.

He called Thea. She'd been at Longevity Pharmaceuticals, taking orders for Yuna, and was on her way home after checking the group chat. "A mysterious Mr. Caden?" she read. "Luxurious betrothal gifts?" The gifts Tommy had posted in the chat startled her. They reminded her of someone—the ghost-masked man. Her phone rang. Recovering herself, she answered, "What's wrong, darling?"

"Thea, where are you? I'm locked out," James said.

"I'll be home in half an hour."

"Okay."

James hung up and waited.

Half an hour later, a beautiful woman in a casual dress arrived. James, who had been squatting, stood and smiled. "Honey," he said. Thea unlocked the door. Inside, she quietly gave him a small box. Blushing, she whispered, "Hide it properly. It's for tonight."

James trembled with excitement.

"By the way," Thea said, "I heard someone sent valuable betrothal gifts to the Callahan villa. My parents have gone to check them out. Let's go too."

"Okay," James smiled.

The gifts were his, for Thea. It was time to bring them home.

Dozens of people were already gathered at the Callahan villa when they arrived. Almost all the core family members and close relatives were present. Many boxes filled the living room, overflowing with cash, jewelry, and expensive clothing.

"Nonsense! These are gifts from Mr. Watson!" Gladys shouted, confronting Tommy. "Who said they were for Megan? Her boyfriend, Colson Oswald, may be wealthy, but not this wealthy. Haven't you heard of the Watsons? They're very low-profile. Zavier Watson visited this afternoon and gave us millions of dollars worth of gifts!"

David, brandishing his car keys, boasted, "Look at this—a gift from my brother-in-law, Zavier."

Tommy's confidence crumbled. Megan defensively said, "The delivery person said they were from Mr. Caden, not Mr. Watson! Does Thea know a rich Mr. Caden?"

Tommy exclaimed, "Could this Mr. Caden be your live-in son-in-law, James?"

Laughter erupted. "He has no money, no power. I heard he even asks Thea for cigarette money!"

Thea and James overheard. Thea looked displeased.

James pulled Thea forward and announced, "These gifts are for Thea."

Gladys immediately pulled Thea aside and scolded her. "You trash, James! What are you doing here? You're not worthy of Thea. You're getting a divorce tomorrow!"

"Mom" Thea pleaded.

James stepped forward. "I'm Mr. Caden. These gifts are for Thea."

Thea whispered, pulling him back, "Don't spout nonsense."
