The lieutenant saluted Lex, then immediately ejected him. The Callahans watched in stunned silence.

"How dare you forge an invitation from the Blithe King?" the lieutenant said coldly. "Since this is your first offense, we'll release you. Otherwise, you'll be executed."

Ignoring his pain, Lex stood up shakily and looked at Stefon. "Stefon, help me," he said loudly. "The Western Border Patrol delivered the invitation in person because of you."

Stefon recoiled at the news of the forged invitation. "Don't make accusations, Lex. What does your fake invitation have to do with me?"

Panicked, Lex looked around for help. His gaze fell on Colson, who approached him hesitantly. He grabbed Colson's hand and pleaded, "Colson, say something. Please help me."

Colson panicked. An idea struck him. "Grandfather," he said hurriedly, "did you offend someone? I swear the invitation is genuine. You must have angered someone important to be treated like this."

"I-I didn't…" Lex was so anxious he nearly cried.

"Ah, I know," Colson said, slapping his forehead. "The firecrackers must have angered the Blithe King. Grandfather, didn't I tell you to keep a low profile? You insisted on such a lavish display."

Lex agreed, instantly regretting his actions. He wished he hadn't put on such a show.

Those who had previously fawned over Lex now looked at him with disdain.

At the end of the Callahans' fleet, James sat in the driver's seat. Thea, in the passenger seat, looked confused.

"Jamie," she asked, "was this what you meant when you said Grandfather would make a fool of himself? You knew this would happen, didn't you? What's going on?"

James smiled. "I wasn't lying last night. I had my superior contact certain people, resulting in the Western Border Patrol sending the Callahans an invitation. When someone else took credit, I contacted my superior again and had the invitation invalidated."

"Haha, great job, James! Excellent!" Gladys cackled from the back seat. Despite her father's predicament, she was pleased. "This stubborn old man believes anything. Hmph. What do the Oswalds have to do with this? Serves him right for ignoring my son-in-law's efforts!"

Thea was speechless. "Mom, that's Grandfather. How can you say that?"

"So what? He's a stubborn old man, always biased toward Howard and John. What about your dad? I'm glad he's suffering. What are you going to do about it?"

James smiled faintly, turning to Thea. "Thea, do you want to go to the Blithe King's succession ceremony?"

Thea was stunned. "C-can we still go? The Callahans' invitation is void."

James chuckled, tapping the steering wheel. "Didn't I tell you? This car belongs to a VIP. My superior's friend is the VIP's driver, but he's not in Cansington. I borrowed the car. With this car, the Western Border Patrol will let us pass."

"Are you sure?" Thea was skeptical.

"What are you waiting for? Go!" Gladys, believing James, playfully hit him on the head.

"Okay."

James smiled, put the car in drive, and honked the horn.

Beep!

Just as everyone witnessed Lex's expulsion, a horn blared from the end of the Callahans' fleet. An unlicensed multi-purpose vehicle appeared.

Gladys rolled down the window and poked her head out, surveying the millionaires. They were dumbfounded. What were the Callahans doing? Approaching in a car, honking in front of soldiers… were they planning on driving into a military zone?
