Even Xander's subordinates were searching for him. They looked up to see a figure hanging from the basement ceiling. One hand pressed against the wall, as if glued there, his body suspended in mid-air.
Everyone was dumbfounded. What kind of technique was this? James's body suddenly fell, his toes slamming into Xander's chin.
Crack! Xander's chin shattered. His body flew backward, spinning several times on the ground with a pained growl.
The scene terrified Xander's subordinates. Despite wielding machetes and electric batons, they retreated to the corner of the wall, staring at James with profuse sweat. They looked like they were facing a grim reaper.
Meanwhile, Yoel was still on the floor, screaming and rolling in pain, his body covered in self-inflicted scratches. Xander lay groaning on the ground, his chin shattered. David, meanwhile, remained unconscious, still hanging upside down after being beaten.
James approached Yoel, grabbed his hair, and removed a silver needle from his body. Yoel's pain vanished instantly.
"Are you the one interested in my wife?" James asked coldly, lifting Yoel by his hair.
"Mr. James! I was wrong! I didn't realize how strong you are! I don't dare to be interested in your wife! I don't dare!" Yoel stammered in terror. He'd never provoked someone who could beat Xander.
Slap! James slapped him. A red mark appeared on Yoel's face as he tilted his head and vomited blood, several teeth flying out.
"Argh…" Yoel screamed, his face contorted in pain. James threw him to the ground like an animal, then stepped on Xander.
"Sir, Mr. James, please spare my life…" Xander groaned, the pain in his shattered jaw evident. "I didn't want to kill anyone, but you messed with the wrong person. You can mess with me, but not my wife…"
James stepped on Xander's chest with great force.
"Arrgh…" Xander screamed, his head falling to the side, lifeless.
The subordinates immediately knelt, begging for mercy. Yoel trembled on the ground. Xander was dead.
James sat down, called the Blithe King, and said, "Blithe King, I wounded some gangsters at the Prosperous Dynasty and killed one. Send someone to clean up the mess."
Yoel nearly lost his mind. Who was this person? He was ordering the Blithe King around?
James stood up, glared at David, then at Yoel. "Send him home before he wakes up. Anything about this…and you'll share Xander's fate."
He turned to leave, his cigarette butt falling onto Xander's corpse.
After James left, Yoel sobbed uncontrollably. He'd never witnessed such terror. A spoiled rich kid, the fear was overwhelming. He wanted to take David, but his own injuries—broken bones, knocked-out teeth, a bloody mouth—prevented him. He tried to stand, but pain shot through his ankle, sending him sprawling. He wailed and called his father, York.
"Dad, I'm in trouble! I'm at the Prosperous Dynasty! Come save me!"
