Chapter 161

At the Mitchell residence, Diana stared blankly at the television, unable to look away. She never anticipated such a dramatic turn of events, a conclusion utterly beyond her comprehension. The heads of CBP and the cultural relic department had publicly cleared Vivienne's name, not only exonerating her but also revealing her esteemed status as a first-class restoration specialist and special consultant. Even Sinclair had appeared, standing firmly by her side throughout the lawsuit.

Everett sat in grim silence, the weight of the revelation settling heavily upon him. Even with Vivienne's true identity revealed, his expression held no relief—only a heavy sigh. Everything was wrong. Utterly wrong. From the outset, the Mitchell family had dismissed Vivienne as a destitute country girl. In reality, she owned Timeless Treasures, was a renowned restoration specialist, and a respected consultant for the cultural relic department. Had Warren not abandoned her, the Mitchell family would have reaped unimaginable benefits. But now, regret was futile.

Melissa, however, remained oblivious to the full implications. Her mind focused solely on one question: would Vivienne seek revenge?

"For the anniversary celebration, I want no mistakes," Everett's voice carried a deep, authoritative undertone, betraying a unspoken hope. He wanted Vivienne to attend the Mitchell Group's anniversary celebration.

Melissa, snapping out of her daze, managed an awkward smile. "Understood." Just an hour prior, she'd instructed her assistant to remove Vivienne's name from the guest list. Now, she had to reinstate it. The bitter sting of her error felt like a slap.

After concluding his meeting, Warren returned to his office, barely settling before his assistant rushed in, his expression urgent. "Mr. Mitchell, would you like to see this?"

"What is it?" Warren asked, glancing up as he accepted the iPad.

The screen displayed a live broadcast—Vivienne's live broadcast. His gaze sharpened as the video played, showing Preston from the cultural relic department publicly defending her as a top-tier restoration specialist.

Why had Vivienne never mentioned this? Wasn't she just a girl from a remote village, with no Lyhaton ties, connections, or powerful allies? How had she become linked to CBP and the cultural relic department? He'd broken up with Vivienne because she seemed powerless, unworthy, a potential burden to his and the company's future. Now, her social standing far surpassed anything he'd imagined.

The large office felt suffocating. As the broadcast ended, Warren handed back the iPad, his fingers lingering briefly on the device before releasing it. "Is the invitation list for Mitchell Group's anniversary celebration finalized?"

The assistant nodded. "Yes, sir."

"Is Vivienne on the list?" Warren's voice was calm, yet chillingly cold.

The assistant hesitated. "An hour ago, Mrs. Mitchell had Miss Hayes's name removed…"

Warren's expression darkened. "Have you forgotten who runs this company?"

"I'll revise the list immediately, Mr. Mitchell." The assistant left without another word.

Warren exhaled slowly, leaning back, fatigue washing over him. His fingers pressed against his temples. He couldn't help remembering Vivienne's gentle touch easing his headaches. How wonderful it would be if she were still by his side.

A ringtone shattered the silence. His father's name appeared on the screen. Warren hesitated before answering. "Warren, did you see the broadcast?"

Warren's reply was flat. "Yes."

"Listen to me. No matter what, you must reach out to Vivienne and ensure she attends Mitchell Group's anniversary celebration. If you can secure her forgiveness, even better."
