Chapter 92: Obedient to His Girlfriend
To Vivienne's surprise, Derek suddenly slid his arm around her waist, pulling her effortlessly into his embrace. The cool, earthy scent of him enveloped her, as if the very air was infused with his presence. Startled, she instinctively clung to him, their bodies pressed together in undeniable closeness. Even through their light clothing, she felt the searing heat radiating from him. His breath, unusually warm, seemed to seep into her skin with each inhale.
His warm breath fanned across her face, brushing her temples. The gentle caress made her fingertips curl, and a faint blush crept up her ears. Feeling uneasy, she gently pushed against his chest. "I'll get you some medicine."
"Don't move," Derek's husky voice commanded, a coaxing sweetness tempered with undeniable authority. Vivienne stopped struggling, compliant in his embrace, her body slowly yielding.
Perhaps sensing her surrender, Derek's grip softened slightly. He rested his chin on her shoulder, his voice low and intimate. "My Vivienne is so obedient." He nuzzled the crook of her neck, the action tender and possessive. His hair tickled her, causing her to shrink back. "It tickles," she said.
For a moment, she nearly fell from his arms, the shock paling her face. Instinctively, she reached up, hooking her arms around his neck to regain her balance. Derek tightened his hold, his voice taking on a playful, seductive edge. "Darling, are you trying to tempt me by throwing yourself at me first thing in the morning?"
His already deep, husky voice held a teasing rasp, a soft tug at her heart. "You were the one being improper," Vivienne glared, her face flushed with anger and embarrassment. She attempted to pull away.
"Don't move!" Derek's Adam's apple bobbed; his jawline tight, betraying a flicker of restraint that heightened the tension. Vivienne froze, unable to make a sound.
After a long pause, she softly asked, "Are you okay?"
"Vivienne, let me remind you… I'm a normal man," Derek's gaze darkened as he met her eyes, his fingers brushing a stray hair behind her ear, his touch intimate and careful. "Don't worry, I won't force you." His fingers lingered, teasing her skin with subtle pressure.
"Then behave and take your medicine," Vivienne swatted his hand away, freeing herself. She reached for the medicine. "Take it quickly, or the fever will worsen."
Derek glanced at the pills, his brow furrowing. He shook his head slightly. "It's just a little bug. It'll pass."
"Take the medicine now, or what if the fever fries your brain?" Concern edged Vivienne's voice.
"Feed it to me."
"Then open your mouth."
"Sweet Vivienne, that's not how you feed someone," Derek's teasing grin only increased Vivienne's frustration. Then, her mind clicked. "Whether you take it or not is none of my business!"
"Fine, I'll take it." As she started to walk away, Derek gently grabbed her wrist. He brought the water to his lips, a quiet satisfaction in his voice. "See how obedient I am to my girlfriend?"
The words hung between them, her cheeks flushing instantly. She shot him a quick glance before turning away, trying to hide her smile. "After you take the medicine, get some rest. I'll check on you later."
But as she turned to leave, Derek tightened his grip on her wrist, pulling her back into his chest, catching her off guard.
