Ethan scowled, exiting the grocery store with his bags. He couldn't believe she'd called him an "unforgiving jerk." First, "pervert," and now this? he mused, wondering about her problem and why she constantly targeted him.

He knew he'd eventually have to forgive her and move on. She was unavoidable—close to his brother and sister-in-law, and best friends with Derek's girlfriend. He was stuck with her, so he'd have to tolerate her annoying personality.

Dismissing it, he drove home and relaxed. Picking up his phone, he smiled thinking of his "Golden Sun." She'd asked him to update her on her Top 3 status. After chatting with the other four women on his list, his thoughts kept returning to her; he enjoyed talking to her more. He'd told Derek about her the previous day, and Derek suggested that if he enjoyed her company so much, he should pursue a meeting to assess their compatibility. Deciding to call, he dialed her number.

Rayna, fresh from the shower and wrapped in her bathrobe, answered with a broad smile at seeing "ET."

"Hello, husband man," Rayna greeted pleasantly. Ethan grinned.

"Husband man?" he asked, already feeling good.

"Why? Do you prefer 'husband woman'?" she teased. He chuckled.

"Husband man is fine. I'm just wondering why you chose that," Ethan said. Rayna sighed, sitting on her bed. "Because you're a man aspiring to be a husband. Tell me, do you call your top five candidates one after the other?" she asked curiously.

"I called you because I wanted to know how you're doing," Ethan said, relaxing on his couch.

"Well, I'm okay. I was having a bad day, but I feel better after a cold shower. What about you?" she asked. Ethan sighed.

"Same here. But I feel better after hearing your voice. Why were you having a bad day? Want to talk about it?" Rayna shook her head.

"Nah. It's not worth it. Care to tell me my current position in your top five, and the criteria for being number one?" she asked, changing the subject.

"I believe you're number one, considering how much I enjoy your company and think about you when I talk to the others," he said. Rayna grinned. "Really? You think about me when you talk to the others?" she asked, smiling and biting her lip. "Yeah. So, I wanted to ask you some questions," Ethan said. Rayna's brow arched.

"Shoot."

"Will you undergo health checks at a medical facility of my choice? I want to be certain you're healthy," he said. Rayna shrugged.

"As long as you're paying, I don't mind."

"And you'll also undergo a check at a facility of my choice, but you'll pay," she countered. Ethan chuckled. "Why?"

"Why what? If you're asking about the facility, it's because I can't trust a result from a random place you choose. And if you're asking why you're paying, it's because I'm sure you're richer than I am. Besides, you have four other options. What if you choose one of them? I'd have wasted my money," she said. He chuckled.

"Okay. Let's assume we're compatible and healthy. Would you marry me in two weeks?" Ethan asked. Rayna's heart skipped a beat.

"Two weeks?"

"Yes. I don't want to date. I want to get married. We already get along so well. This is better than I expected from the ad. We can get to know each other after marriage. And I'd like us to start having kids immediately," he said. Rayna felt butterflies.

"This sounds rushed and weird, but why does it excite me?" she asked. Ethan smiled.

"Maybe because having kids means we're going to have sex"

"You don't even know if you find me sexually attractive," Rayna pointed out.

"For some reason, I already find you attractive, even without knowing what you look like. Maybe it's your voice, or the way you speak," Ethan said. Rayna giggled.

"I feel the same about you. It's weird," she said, then looked up as her doorbell rang. Evelyn was arriving.

"I think my best friend is at the door. I'll call you back, or maybe we can text," she said, heading for the door in her bathrobe.

"Alright. Let's text," Ethan said before hanging up.

Rayna grinned as she opened the door. "Hey, what's up?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow.

"Why do you look so excited after sounding so pissed earlier?" Evelyn asked, entering.

Rayna dismissed the question. "That's in the past. Guess who I was talking to? ET," Rayna said, smiling widely as she closed the door. "Hmm. So, Ethan made you angry, and ET makes you happy. Funny how Ethan's name starts with ET, too," Evelyn said. Rayna scowled.

"Ethan is nothing like my ET. Don't mention their names in the same sentence. That Ethan guy is so annoying," Rayna said. Evelyn giggled.

"I guess you're no longer planning to double date," Evelyn said. Rayna shook her head.

"Nope. I'm settling for ET," Rayna said, sitting down. Her phone buzzed with a message.

ET: [So, how many kids would you like to have?] Golden Sun: [I'd like three: two boys and a girl. You?] ET: [I'm thinking two girls and a boy, or maybe three girls.] Golden Sun: [Why all girls?] ET: [I've always wanted to be a girl dad. I see so many cute girl dad videos on Instagram, and I want to be one.]

"Are you even listening to me?" Evelyn asked, amused, watching Rayna, engrossed in her phone and grinning.

"Yeah, sure," Rayna said without looking up. "This guy is hilarious, Evie," she giggled.

"I suppose you're talking about ET?" Evelyn asked.

"Yeah. Who else? I think he's a 10," Rayna said, looking up at Evelyn with a grin.

"If he's so great, why is he single and using an ad to find a wife?" Evelyn asked. Rayna shrugged.

"Am I not a great catch myself? Why am I single? And why did I respond to such an ad?" she asked. Evelyn nodded.

"That's a good point. You single people need to stick together," Evelyn said. Rayna's jaw dropped.

"You didn't just say that to me, bitch!" Rayna exclaimed. Evelyn tittered.

"Yeah, I did, you single Pringle," Evelyn taunted.

"You realize I could get married before you at this rate, right? My ET isn't playing games. He wants a wife, not a girlfriend. And we're drama-free," Rayna said. Before Evelyn could respond, Rayna's phone buzzed again.

ET: [Since your best friend is there, why don't we chat later? Maybe we can talk about meeting soon. I'd like you to be the first person I go on a date with. That way, I don't have to meet any of the others if things go well between us.]

Golden Sun: [Sure. Let's talk about that later. I'll text you after she leaves.]

Rayna put away her phone and turned to Evelyn. "Guess what?" she asked excitedly.

"What?" Evelyn asked, seeing the gleam in Rayna's eyes.

"He wants us to meet soon. And I think I might get married in two weeks if our date goes well," Rayna said happily.

"Two weeks?" Evelyn asked incredulously.

"Yeah. So, get ready to plan my wedding. I have a feeling our date is going to be perfect, and he will be my perfect man," Rayna said with a dreamy smile.

"I was sort of hoping things would work out between you and Ethan. You know, the whole destiny thing. It would have been nice for us to date two best friends." Rayna snorted.

"I don't care about Ethan. He can go to hell."
