Chapter 192
โAll right, I agree.โ
Hearing this, Freya spun around, hardly believing her ears. It seemed unthinkable that Kieran would return at this moment. As she turned, she accidentally bumped into Kieranโs embrace. The badge on Kieranโs chest shoved against Freyaโs nose and it hurt. She stepped back and said, โMr. Sutton, you said yes to my requests?โ
Kieran wasnโt known for being easilyโฆ swayed. He replied coldly, โWhatโs the problem? You seem less thrilled now that Iโve agreed.โ
โOf course, Iโm happy youโve agreed.โ Quick as a flash, as if fearing Kieran might change his mind, she turned to Jarrett. โJarrett, Mr. Sutton has agreed. Could you please take care of the arrangements?โ
โCertainly, Ms. Dawson.โ Jarrett immediately went to prepare Freyaโs room.
Freya turned to Kieran and said, โMr. Sutton, if thereโs nothing else, Iโll head up to rest.โ
โWait.โ Kieran suddenly caught Freyaโs arm.
Freya frowned, glancing at the hand on her arm, briefly fantasizing about chopping it off. โMr. Sutton, is there something else?โ
โWhere are the flowers that I gave you?โ
When Kieran suddenly mentioned the roses, Freya responded, โWell, Mr. Sutton, I felt those flowers didnโt suit me, so I left them at the Dawson family home.โ
Kieran asked, โLeft at the Dawson family home, or threw them away?โ
Freya politely assured, โOf course, I left them at the Dawson family home.โ
The flowers were in the Dawson familyโs trash bin, but technically still at the Dawson family home. Happy with the solid answer from Freya, Kieran dropped the subject. Little did he know, Freya had chucked the roses into the Dawson familyโs compost bin when she left.
Freya added, โIf thereโs nothing else, Mr. Sutton, Iโll go up to rest.โ
โWait!โ
Seeing Kieran had more to say, Freya rolled her eyes. What now?
Turning back, she said, โMr. Sutton, if you have anything else, please say it all now. Iโm exhausted.โ
Kieran asked again, โWhy choose the room furthest away?โ
Freya had previously stayed in a guest room near Kieranโs at the Sutton Mansion, close to him. Given Freyaโs feelings for him, youโd think sheโd be thrilled about the roomโs location. Of course, Kieran didnโt know Freya wanted to keep her distance, preferring to walk further to the room at the end.
Freya smiled. โBecause that room is a bit larger, and I prefer spacious rooms.โ
It was a flimsy excuse at best.
Kieran frowned. โYou could always stay in mine if you think the room is too small.โ Kieran thought his offer would thrill Freya to no end.
