Chapter 203

โ€œWhatโ€™s on your mind?โ€ Out of nowhere, Ronan tapped Freyaโ€™s head with the book he was holding. Suddenly, Freya snapped out of her daydreams about her past life.

โ€œWhy the hit?โ€ Rubbing her forehead, Freya looked up at him.

Ronan replied, โ€œGot something for you, thatโ€™s why.โ€

Without another word, he pushed a bunch of papers towards Freya, saying, โ€œTake a look for yourself.โ€ As Freya flipped through the documents, her eyes landed on the approval notice for a piece of land in the Southern Suburb. Seeing this, she couldnโ€™t help but exclaim, โ€œYes!โ€

Ronan frowned, puzzled. โ€œAll this joy over a mere approval notice?โ€

โ€œYou donโ€™t get it, Iโ€™m about to strike it rich.โ€

Seeing Freyaโ€™s confidence, Ronan couldnโ€™t help but scoff. โ€œGet rich over an approval notice? At best, youโ€™re getting some government subsidy, not much there. Besides, the Southern Suburb is just a barren wasteland. Even with the approval, thereโ€™s not much to be made.โ€ Of course, Ronan was clueless about the real value of that land in the Southern Suburb. Freya had spent a fortune at the auction for this land, all for the dream of one day building a hot spring resort. Unearthing a natural hot spring in what was once barren land was a dream come true for any entrepreneur.

โ€œIโ€™ve already planned the excavation. Just donโ€™t come begging to do business with me later,โ€ Freya remarked.

โ€œDonโ€™t worry, I have no interest in suburban land.โ€ Truth be told, Ronan had never seen the potential in the Southern Suburb land. When Freya spent a whopping five hundred million on it, Ronan thought she had lost her mind. And up to this day, thatโ€™s what he believed. Ronan wasnโ€™t alone in his thinking; he assumed everyone else felt the same, especially Freyaโ€™s fiancรฉ, Kieran.

After a while, as Freya was still basking in the joy of her approval notice, Ronan suddenly scrutinized her attire. Feeling uneasy under his gaze, Freya asked, โ€œWhy are you looking at me like that?โ€

โ€œDressing like this for school, thatโ€™s a deduction.โ€ With that, Ronan picked up a notebook.

Seeing Ronan getting serious, Freya immediately retorted, โ€œIโ€™m a college student now!โ€

โ€œSo, college students can dress however they want? If every student at Summit University dressed like you, imagine the chaos.โ€ Ronan then proceeded to deduct a point from Freya in his notebook. Freyaโ€™s expression darkened. She couldnโ€™t understand why Ronan, the CEO of The Beckett Group, was so keen on lecturing at Summit University. And he seemed to enjoy it, too.

โ€œBy the way, has Kieran been bothering you lately?โ€

โ€œThanks to you, he now sees Preston as his main rival. So, Iโ€™ve had a few days of peace.โ€ Ronan then sat down at his desk, ready to grade papers. Looking at Ronan, it was hard to believe he was a CEO. He radiated the aura of a dedicated teacher through and through.

โ€œWhat are you still doing here?โ€ Suddenly, Ronan looked up at Freya.

โ€œMe?โ€

โ€œYou have three minutes before class starts. Miss it, and itโ€™s a deduction.โ€ Freya was speechless, increasingly convinced that Ronan was more of a teacher than a CEO, with the latter being just a side gig for him.
