Chapter 219

โ€œWho in Echo City doesnโ€™t know Freyaโ€™s situation now? Crossing paths with Mr. Sutton, sheโ€™s over in this town,โ€ the counselor thought. โ€œWhether she can continue at Summit University is another question entirely. Why would Mr. Beckett bother with her now?โ€

โ€œAre we done here? Iโ€™ve got plans this afternoon,โ€ the counselor said impatiently.

Freya glanced at the counselor outside the door, fully aware of her predicament. It seemed anyone could step on her.

She said to the doctor, โ€œI understand. Could you please prescribe me some medication?โ€

โ€œSure.โ€ The doctor quickly prescribed Freya, advising her on how to take the medicines.

Once she had everything done, Freya picked up the prescription and stood up.

โ€œAre we done here? I need to get going,โ€ the counselor said hurriedly.

โ€œMr. Laird, here is the report from Mr. Beckett for you,โ€ Freya handed the injury assessment report to the counselor.

The counselor didnโ€™t glance at it before shoving it carelessly into his pocket.

โ€œLetโ€™s go. Donโ€™t hold me up!โ€ The counselor walked ahead briskly.

Freya said, โ€œI need to pick up my medicine. Mr. Beckett said it would be difficult to do it alone, so he asked you to help me. How am I supposed to manage if you leave?โ€

โ€œFreya, stop using Mr. Beckett as an excuse. Your hand is a minor injury. Slap some arnica cream on it, and youโ€™ll be fine in a few days. Now, come on! Donโ€™t make me late for my things!โ€

The counselorโ€™s dismissive attitude was clear, but as he turned to leave, he bumped into someone. โ€œWatch where youโ€™re going!โ€ he snapped. Then, he saw Kieranโ€™s icy demeanor.

Upon realizing it was Kieran, the counselorโ€™s expression changed drastically. He took a few steps back, attempting to appease him. โ€œCh, itโ€™s Mr. Sutton. Mr. Sutton, what brings you here all of a sudden?โ€

โ€œJarrett.โ€

โ€œYes?โ€ Jarrett quickly stepped forward, and before the counselor knew it, he was on the ground, wincing in pain. Jarrett then stepped on the counselorโ€™s hand, causing him to scream in agony, โ€œPlease, Mr. Sutton! Mr. Sutton!โ€

The hospital was supposed to be a quiet place, and everyone around them was stunned by the scene unfolding.

Kieran spoke coldly, โ€œIf this teacher believes itโ€™s a small wound and not worth fussing over, perhaps we donโ€™t need any medicine. Just give him a bottle of arnica cream. Iโ€™m curious to see how quickly his hand heals.โ€

โ€œYes, Mr. Sutton.โ€ Jarrett lifted his foot off the counselorโ€™s hand and casually tossed a twenty-dollar bill at the counselorโ€™s face.

The counselorโ€™s hand was swollen and bruising visibly, and he couldnโ€™t even get up due to the excruciating pain.

Kieran then approached Freya, bending down to inspect the injury on her hand. Her usually delicate and graceful hand was a mess of black and purple, a sight so disturbing it was hard to look at.

The next moment, Freya pulled her hand back, frowning. โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€

Her eyes were filled with hostility.

Kieran remarked, โ€œI thought you were tough. How come youโ€™re getting bullied now?โ€

โ€œWalls fall, and everyone pushes. Thatโ€™s it,โ€ Freya replied, loosening her wrist. โ€œIf nothing else, Iโ€™m leaving.โ€

Freya increased the distance between her and Kieran, wanting even an inch more away from him.

โ€œCome back here!โ€ Kieran grabbed Freyaโ€™s arm, inadvertently aggravating her wound.

โ€œOw!โ€
