Kieran slumped into his executive chair, a memory of Freya bringing him lunch flashing through his mind. Back then, Freya barely dared to step into his office, always rushing off after leaving the food, as if terrified of disturbing him.

At first, Kieran threw all those meals away. But once Freya found out, she stopped bringing lunch, saying she didn’t want to cause him any trouble.

Thinking of Freya at that moment… Suddenly, Kieran turned to Jarrett and asked, “Was I too harsh on Freya?”

“Well… maybe a bit,” Jarrett hesitated to say. Kieran’s treatment of Freya was beyond harsh.

Breaking his usual reserve, Kieran inquired, “What’s Freya up to now?”

“Ms. Dawson… seems she went to school early today.”

“To school?” Kieran frowned. “She can barely walk. Who let her go to school?”

“Um…” Jarrett was at a loss about what Freya was thinking. After all, if Freya mentioned it to Kieran, even without attending classes, Kieran would find a way to graduate her.

Kieran instructed, “Call the principal and tell him to have Freya sent home to rest. She shouldn’t go to school until she’s fully healed.”

“But finals are coming up. If Ms. Dawson can’t pass, she might get expelled.”

“What’s the use of cramming now? With her grades, she’d fail anyway.”

Kieran knew well about Freya’s capabilities. She was far behind since she had missed so many classes, and even a last-minute effort wouldn’t secure her graduation.

“Right, I’ll speak to the principal then.” Jarrett went to make the call.

After getting through, the principal seemed confused. “Ms. Dawson? She took a medical leave this morning and went home.” When hearing that, Jarrett paused. ‘Went home?’

After Jarrett hung up, Kieran’s face showed a rare hint of confusion. “She went home?”

“Yes, the principal said she took a medical leave this morning and left.” Jarrett was puzzled. ‘Why did she go there for a medical leave when a phone call would suffice?’

Kieran scoffed, “It seems I overestimated Freya.” He had thought she was dedicated to her studies, but it turned out she went to take leave.

“Mr. Sutton, the hospital called. The specialist team is ready. Do you still want detailed updates on Ms. Dawson’s rehabilitation?”

“Do I look like I want to be bothered?” Kieran gave Jarrett a cold glance. “From now on, don’t trouble me with anything about her.”

“Understood, Mr. Sutton.” Jarrett couldn’t help but ask, “And what about Ms. Dawson’s graduation?”

“She won’t graduate.”
