Chapter 303

Navigating the stairs was always a hassle.

โ€œJust crash here for a few days. Preston will sort something out for you,โ€ Neil said, as if it were the most natural solution.

Freya replied, โ€œThereโ€™s no need to trouble Mr. Tyler. I have my place.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t be silly. Think about it. After all that Preston has put you through, leaving you nowhere to turn, he owes you some compensation, right? Otherwise, youโ€™re at a total lossโ€ฆโ€ Neilโ€™s voice trailed off as he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. Turning around, he saw Preston standing behind him.

The neighborhood had quickly filled with curious onlookers. Prestonโ€™s limited-edition Maybach instantly became the center of attention. In this aging community, a luxury car like that had never appeared.

Watching the commotion outside, Freya wished they could just leave. But the sight of a young, beautiful girl getting into a fancy car with two incredibly handsome guys sparked a flurry of gossip among the bystanders.

โ€œWhatโ€™s going on?โ€

โ€œThese young girls today are always chasing after rich men. Theyโ€™re shameless.โ€

Amidst the murmuring, Kara stepped forward. It was the most affordable housing near Summit University, where Kara had lived for a while. But Audrey had allowed her to stay in the Sutton Mansion, so she returned to pack her things.

Upon seeing Kara, a neighbor quickly asked, โ€œKara, is that someone from your school? Sheโ€™s leaving with two wealthy guys.โ€

โ€œYeah,โ€ Kara replied. Though she hadnโ€™t seen who the two men were, she recognized Freya. She couldnโ€™t believe Freya had caught the eye of such high-profile men after leaving Kieran.

Thinking about how sheโ€™d been receiving cold treatment from Kieran at the Sutton Mansion made Kara envious. But then again, what did it matter how rich they were? They couldnโ€™t compare to Mr. Sutton.

With that thought, Kara found some solace. Freya had engaged Kieran by imitating Eloise, so Kara believed she could do the same. โ€œNowadays, college students know no bounds, using their looks to get whatever they want.โ€

โ€œExactly! I would never rent my property to that kind of woman. Itโ€™s disgusting!โ€

โ€œItโ€™s shameless.โ€

The neighborsโ€™ gossip became even more spiteful. Kara couldnโ€™t help but feel a twinge of satisfaction.

When she first met Freya, Freyaโ€™s aloof demeanor immediately rubbed Kara the wrong way. Freya was Ms. Dawson, but so what? Without Kieran, she had to live in this run-down neighborhood, subject to everyoneโ€™s judgment the moment she stepped outside.

But Kara was different. She could live in the Sutton Mansion, with a personal ride to and from school. In her eyes, Freyaโ€™s refusal of Kieran was foolish.
