Chapter 308

โ€œIโ€™m here for the study materials.โ€

The message was short and to the point. Standing at the front of the classroom, the class representative couldnโ€™t help but gulp as he looked at the figure in a black suit waiting at the door.

โ€œHereโ€ฆ here you goโ€ฆโ€ Carefully, he handed over the review materials to the intimidating visitor.

Without another word, the man in the black suit turned and walked out of the classroom. As soon as he was gone, an eerie silence fell over the room.

โ€œWho was that guy?โ€

โ€œHow would I know? I told you not to post that stuff in the group chat. Now look what happened!โ€

Benny had prepared some review materials, but she had done so with the mischievous intention of pranking Freya. She had gathered outdated textbooks from over a decade ago. If anyone studied from those materials, theyโ€™d be in trouble.

โ€œIs Freya even going to show up?โ€

โ€œI bet she wonโ€™t. How could she face anyone now?โ€

โ€œYeah, after being dumped by Mr. Sutton, I wouldnโ€™t show my face at school, either.โ€

Jenny stomped her foot in frustration, upset that her plan to lure Freya out hadnโ€™t worked.

Soon enough, Hans brought the review materials back to the Tyler Mansion. Freya had been poring over countless books in preparation. Seeing the materials Hans had brought, she couldnโ€™t help but laugh. It was another petty trick by her classmates.

Seeing Freya didnโ€™t bother to look at the materials before setting them aside, Hans asked, โ€œMs. Dawson, donโ€™t you need these?โ€

โ€œTheyโ€™re not completely useless. I can at least use the back for handwriting practice,โ€ Freya said nonchalantly as she flipped the papers over and began to write.

As the evening grew darker, Freya had yet to check the messages on her phone. When she finally turned it over, she found Ronan had sent her the documents for the Southern Suburb project.

โ€œJust show me when youโ€™re done.โ€ Preston approached her, and Freya instinctively hid her phone. She wasnโ€™t ready to tell anyone about the Southern Suburb project yet.

โ€œI think I did pretty well. Donโ€™t you think so, Mr. Tyler?โ€ Freya handed him her work nonchalantly.

Preston glanced over it briefly and commented, โ€œItโ€™s an improvement, but not much.โ€

Freya wasnโ€™t sure if that was a compliment.

โ€œWhy does my hand feel so sore today, unlike yesterday?โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s because youโ€™re not used to working hard. Itโ€™s normal for your wrist to ache from handwriting if youโ€™ve never done it before,โ€ Preston said, his tone indifferent.

Freya rolled her eyes inwardly. His comment was as helpful as saying nothing.

โ€œStill, to reach this level in just two days is impressive. The exam shouldnโ€™t be too difficult for you. You donโ€™t need to come here so often anymore.โ€

Preston casually placed the paper on the table.

Freya was secretly thrilled. She had much to handle with the Southern Suburb project and needed to stay in touch with Ronan; Prestonโ€™s constant supervision made that difficult.

โ€œYou seem quite pleased.โ€
