Chapter 353
Freya furrowed her brow in confusion. What the heck? As she walked into the next room, repurposed as her exam hall, the proctor motioned for Freya to take a seat. Outside the window stood Kieran.
โFreya, just look at the questions and tell me the answers. Iโll jot them down for you,โ he offered.
The proctor was surprisingly accommodating, probably shocked that a student had managed to pull strings to get a private exam room. โMaโam, I can take the exam myself.โ
โItโs the administrationโs call. Youโre injured, and we donโt want that to mess with your graduation.โ
Saying this, the proctor picked up the half-finished exam paper Freya had placed on the desk. The proctor was momentarily stunned by Freyaโs answers. โShe answered all of these? Was this student not just riding on someoneโs coattails?โ the proctor thought.
โMaโam, Iโll continue then,โ Freya said, proceeding to articulate her responses methodically. The proctor bent her head, diligently filling out the exam paper. The more she wrote, the more bewildered she became. This yearโs graduation exam was notoriously tough, with few students expected to answer everything correctly, let alone the trickier questions. Yet, Freya was answering with ease.
Kieran, listening from outside, couldnโt help but frown. The principal, standing beside Kieran, unsure of what was going through his mind, ventured, โMr. Suttonโฆ?โ
โWhere are your copies of the exam? Hand them over.โ
โRight away, Mr. Sutton.โ The principal quickly signaled someone to bring the exam papers to Kieran. Kieran merely glanced over them briefly. The content was indeed more complex than what Summit University usually offered. Yet, as Freyaโs confident answers floated through the door, Kieranโs frown deepened.
โMr. Sutton, is something amiss?โ The principal peered tentatively at Kieranโs reaction. He hadnโt seen the exam, so he was in the dark about Freyaโs performance.
โWas this exam leaked beforehand?โ
โLeaked?โฆ Of course not. Only Mr. Tyler and Mr. Beckett had requested to see itโฆ No one else.โ
When Kieran heard that Ronan and Preston had access to the exam content, his previously furrowed brows finally eased up. He shouldโve known. Freya wasnโt capable of pulling off these answers on her own. It seemed heโd overestimated her.
Handing the exam back to the principal, Kieran remarked, โNo need to worry, Iโve got other matters to attend to.โ
โUnderstood, Mr. Sutton.โ As Kieran left, the principal, left holding the exam, was puzzled. What was up with the exam? After Freya finished, she got up and left the room. The proctor was left in a daze.
