Chapter 394

โ€œLet go.โ€ Kieranโ€™s gaze was icy cold. Eloise was taken aback by the frigid look in Kieranโ€™s eyes. As Kieran turned to leave, Eloise quickly caught up to him. โ€œFine, you may not like me, and thatโ€™s okay. But you have to help me with this graduation mess.โ€

Hearing this, Kieran frowned. โ€œI canโ€™t get expelled. You said youโ€™d always have my back! If I get kicked out, Iโ€™ll be a laughingstock, Kieran. Even if our childhood friendship doesnโ€™t mean much to you anymore, you should at least keep your promise.โ€

Eloise stared defiantly at Kieran. Even if Kieran had no feelings for her, he had to help her out with this. She refused to become the joke of Echo City. Kieran felt like he had never truly known the woman standing before him.

Without a word, he walked away. โ€œKieran! You promised to always look out for me, to never let anyone bully me! Kieran!โ€ Despite the womanโ€™s cries behind him, Kieran remained silent.

Indeed, he had made a promise, and even if he was reluctant, he had to fulfill it. Jarrett approached Kieran, asking, โ€œMr. Sutton, should we give the Department of Education a heads-up? If Ms. Harwood does get expelled, she wonโ€™t be able to show her face in Echo City.โ€

โ€œGo ahead and make the call.โ€

Kieran felt a headache coming on. He hoped this would be the last time heโ€™d have to bail Eloise out. โ€œUnderstood.โ€ Jarrett quickly made the call to the Department of Education and then returned to Kieranโ€™s side. Dealing with the Department of Education was different from dealing with a principal. This time, it seemed Kieran would have to personally intervene for Ms. Harwoodโ€™s sake.

Meanwhile, Freya stepped out of the principalโ€™s office and spotted Luna waiting outside the building. Seeing Freya, Luna immediately ran up and grabbed her arm, asking, โ€œHow did it go? Is everything sorted?โ€

โ€œIt should be.โ€ With the Department of Education stepping in, Eloise and those student council members were definitely facing expulsion. Luna breathed a sigh of relief. โ€œI thought Eloise was untouchable, but it seems even Mr. Sutton canโ€™t save her this time.โ€

Then, looking at Freya, Luna said, โ€œBy the way, Reya, I saw Kieran and Jarrett heading towards the building earlier. Did you see him?โ€

โ€œI did.โ€

โ€œFor Eloise?โ€

โ€œWho else would it be for?โ€

โ€œRight, I saw him rushing to the building, so it had to be for Eloise.โ€ Everyone knew Eloise was Kieranโ€™s weak spot. If not for dealing with Eloiseโ€™s situation, Kieran wouldnโ€™t have hurried to the school.

โ€œThis time, itโ€™s not just Eloise in trouble; even the principal might face consequences.โ€
