Chapter 476

His assistant smiled and said, “Don’t worry, Mr. Kobayashi. We’ll reach the airport in half an hour. By then, nothing can stop us!”

Ichiro’s Maybach sped from the Serene Globe Center onto the expressway, heading directly to the airport. They aimed to arrive as quickly as possible to catch their flight back to Tokyo.

Ichiro’s excitement grew. He repeatedly glanced at the four pills, whispering, “The Kobayashi family will use this miraculous medicine to rise to global prominence! I will become chairman of Kobayashi Pharma!”

The Maybach arrived at Aurous Hill Airport swiftly. As Ichiro was about to rush inside, eight Mercedes-Benz off-road vehicles surrounded his Maybach.

Thirty black-clad bodyguards emerged, each a highly trained master with exceptional strength. Isaac stepped out, coldly addressing Ichiro, “Mr. Kobayashi, our young master wishes to speak with you.”

“Your young master?” Ichiro nervously asked, concealing the pills. “Do you know who I am? I’m the vice-chairman of Kobayashi Pharma!”

Isaac patted Ichiro’s face. “Kobayashi Pharma is a Japanese company, and we’re not in Japan. Why are you mentioning that?”

Ichiro grew nervous. He wondered if they were after the pills or something else. If it was the pills, he was in grave danger. These men looked formidable. If they wouldn't let him go, escape would be impossible. If it was something else, could he still send the medicine to Japan?

Feigning calm, he asked, “Who is your young master?”

Isaac replied smoothly, “Mr. Kobayashi, Kobayashi Pharma has copied many ancient Chinese prescriptions. Are you familiar with the Wade family of Eastcliff?”

Ichiro was shocked. He knew the Wade family—the most powerful family in the country, and among the most powerful globally. They far surpassed his small pharmaceutical company.

Panic rising, he blurted, “Why does your young master want me?”

Isaac said, “You’ll find out when you come with me.”

“And if I refuse?” Ichiro asked nervously.

Isaac smirked, drawing a pistol. “My young master instructed me to bring you to him. If I can’t bring you alive, I’ll bring your corpse.”

Ichiro was terrified, primarily concerned about sending the pills to Tokyo—crucial to his family's future. He asked tentatively, “May my assistant return to Japan? He has important business.”

Isaac chuckled. “Everyone can leave except you.”

Relieved, Ichiro discreetly handed a small wooden box to his assistant, patting his shoulder. “Take the flight back to Tokyo. Tell my father I’m fine and will return soon.”

Chapter 477

After watching his assistant depart, Ichiro asked Isaac, “Where is your young master?”

Isaac replied, “You’ll see.” He signaled, and Ichiro was dragged to a Mercedes-Benz.

The convoy sped toward Albert’s dog farm in the suburbs. Isaac called Charlie Wade: “Mr. Wade, Ichiro is in custody. I’m taking him to Albert’s. If you wish to join us, I’ll send a car.”

Charlie Wade glanced at the sleeping Claire Wilson, replying, “Alright. Send a car to my house in five minutes.” He'd made her a pearl and clam bracelet worth thousands, ensuring she slept soundly through the night.

Five minutes later, a Rolls-Royce waited outside. The driver recognized Charlie Wade and courteously opened the door.

At Albert’s farm, Charlie Wade encountered a remote, sprawling complex filled with the loud, deep barking of large dogs. Albert bred and trained fighting dogs for underground events, where gamblers wagered tens of thousands on the fights. The farm also served as an execution ground.

A three-story building housed staff quarters, a dog food storage area, and a secret room used for lynchings. Ichiro was bound to a frame in the darkness. The Aurouss Hill underworld, like those in Hong Kong and Taiwan, had strict rules—violations often resulted in lynchings.

The six men Ichiro sent to rob Anthony were also held captive. Seeing them terrified Ichiro; this was likely about the pills. He wondered what would happen now that the pills were in Japan.

Chapter 478

Charlie Wade entered the building. Isaac bowed, reporting, “Mr. Wade, Ichiro and his six men are here.”

Charlie Wade looked at Ichiro, smiling coldly, “Mr. Kobayashi, we meet again.”

Ichiro recognized Charlie Wade from the Chinese Medicine Exposition. He’d been shocked to learn he was the young master of the Wade family.

Charlie Wade said coldly, “Mr. Kobayashi, you’re bold! Sending men to rob an old man of his pills? Are you tired of living?”

Ichiro panicked, “Mr. Wade, it’s a misunderstanding!”

“Misunderstanding?” Charlie Wade gestured to the bound men. “Didn’t these six men work for you?”

Ichiro denied it. After Isaac questioned the men in Japanese, he informed Charlie Wade they denied knowing Ichiro.

Charlie Wade said, “Since they don’t know each other, choose one, cut him up, feed him to the dogs, then question the others.”

The six men were horrified. Charlie Wade ordered Albert to weigh them, choose the heaviest, dismember him, feed him to the dogs, and bring the remaining five back for further questioning. Albert asked what to do if they confessed. Charlie Wade replied, “Too late. They’re all dog food tonight.”

Ichiro understood; Charlie Wade would kill and dispose of a living person.

Chapter 479

Ichiro heard the dogs snarling as Albert’s men took the six men away. Ten minutes later, the remaining five were brought back, terrified. They told Ichiro (and through Isaac, Charlie Wade) that they’d seen their comrade dismembered and fed to the dogs.

Charlie Wade looked coldly at Ichiro, “Ichiro Kobayashi, one last chance. Tell the truth, or you’ll share his fate!”

Ichiro realized that Charlie Wade would actually kill him. He confessed to hiring the men to rob Dr. Simmons. Charlie Wade asked about the pills; Ichiro said his assistant took them, the plane was already gone.

Charlie Wade gritted his teeth, “You dared steal our ancestors’ medicine! You will die here!”

Chapter 480

Ichiro cried out, begging for mercy. He offered to call his father to have the plane turn back. Charlie Wade doubted him, pointing out that even a small amount of the pill would be enough to analyze its components. Ichiro swore he was telling the truth, but Charlie Wade slapped him, "You’re a thief talking about character?"

Ichiro asked for a solution. Charlie Wade said, “Since you have the pills, you must have the formula. Pay us for the prescription.” Ichiro agreed. Charlie Wade demanded ten billion dollars; otherwise he would kill Ichiro and expose Kobayashi Pharma globally.

Ichiro was shocked; they didn’t have that much money. Charlie Wade retorted that the money was in Kobayashi Pharma’s accounts. Ichiro insisted the money was under his father’s control. Charlie Wade told him to call his father. Isaac untied Ichiro's hand and gave him his phone.

Ichiro nervously called his father, Masao, who was impatiently waiting at the Tokyo airport for the pills. Ichiro explained he was captured, and Charlie Wade demanded ten billion dollars for the prescription. Otherwise, Ichiro would die, and Kobayashi Pharma’s reputation would be ruined.

Masao yelled at Ichiro for being careless. He offered one billion dollars, but Isaac (translating for Charlie Wade) countered that the pills could make at least ten billion dollars annually. Charlie Wade added that if Masao didn’t pay, he would expose the theft and kill Ichiro.

Masao was torn. He risked his son’s life and Kobayashi Pharma’s reputation. If the pills were truly miraculous, ten billion dollars was a small price to pay for the prescription. He agreed to pay ten billion if the pills cured his paraplegia.
