Wendell looked askance at Charlie Wade, coldly stating, "You're a loser. You can't even control your wife. Claire Wilson is wasting her time with you. Let her go, so she can be with me."

Ice coated Charlie Wade's face. He replied, "One, apologize to Claire Wilson and retract your statements. Two, I'll bankrupt your family's business."

Wendell scoffed. "You're joking! Who do you think you are?" He glared contemptuously, clearly not taking Charlie seriously. "Are you insane? Do you have any idea what our company's net worth is? What could you possibly do to bankrupt us?"

Charlie Wade stared at Wendell impassively, as if assessing an idiot. He then retrieved his phone and called Stephen. "In three minutes, I want the Jones family's organization bankrupt and liquidated. Let their debts skyrocket!"

Three minutes to bankrupt a billion-dollar firm seemed impossible.

Wendell stared at Charlie in disbelief. "Damn you! You're full of lies! Do you really think you're some internet tycoon?" He continued coldly, "Loser, stop pretending. I give you two choices: one, kneel and apologize to me, then leave Claire Wilson immediately. Two, I'll have someone beat you up and paralyze you, so you can see how happy Claire is with me. Decide now! You have one minute."

Charlie Wade glanced at his watch. "You have one minute left. Are you sure you don't want to save your business?"

"F*** off!" Wendell snarled. "Twenty seconds!" He gestured to his bodyguards, ready to attack.

Suddenly, his phone rang. Startled, he saw it was his father and answered. "Father, I'm at the hotel. Where are you?"

His father's voice roared indignantly, "Damn it! What did you do this time? Who did you offend? Our shareholders are selling off our stock; the share price has plummeted by over 80%! The bank's demanding payment! All our partners have suspended operations and cancelled negotiations!"

Wendell's face drained of color. Fear etched itself onto his forehead. "We're screwed! Totally screwed!"

He opened his mouth to speak, but heard a door crash open and police officers instructing his father to come to the station for questioning. Wendell's legs gave way; he collapsed before Charlie Wade. His phone fell, shattering.

Trembling, Wendell whispered, "Who the hell are you? You did this, didn't you?"

The onlookers were astonished. Wendell Jones, suddenly submissive before the Wilson family's son-in-law?

Charlie Wade looked down at him, then leaned in and whispered, "I gave you a choice, but you chose poorly."

Wendell sobbed, begging for forgiveness. "I'm sorry! There's nothing between me and Claire Wilson! I never touched her! Everything I said was a lie! Please save me and my family!" He banged his head on the floor. He never imagined the Wilson family's son-in-law possessed such power. Looking at Charlie's impassive face, he felt it was more terrifying than any enemy.

Charlie Wade shook his head. "You should be grateful I spared your life. Otherwise, your whole family would be dead."

Wendell's face was pale, his body shaking violently.

Charlie Wade continued coldly, "To be clear, yes, I am the tycoon in the video. If you want to live, don't reveal my identity, or I can't guarantee your and your father's safety until tomorrow morning. Keep it secret!"

Wendell didn't dare resist. He watched as Charlie Wade walked towards the hall, following him quickly. He frantically searched for Claire Wilson, then rushed to her, falling at her feet. "Claire Wilson, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have spread those rumors. I have nothing to do with Emgrand Group! Please, spare me!"

Claire Wilson recoiled, then stumbled into Charlie Wade's arms as he caught her. He glared at Wendell with disdain. Claire frowned, confused. "What's wrong with him?"

Charlie Wade murmured, holding her close, "Something's wrong with his brain. Ignore him."

They were a couple, but hadn't been intimate. Claire blushed deeply feeling Charlie Wade's warmth. Awkwardly, she pulled away. "Erm, Mr. Wade from Emgrand Group should be here soon. I'll go see"
