The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 1071-1075

Chapter 1071

At Aurouss Hill Detention Center, Lady Wilson and her granddaughter, Wendy, had been residing for several days. They were fortunate; Lady Wilson had gained the sympathy of prison guard Gena, ensuring their relative safety. However, Christopher and Harold, along with Harold's son, faced a harsher reality in the men's detention center. As newcomers, they endured constant bullying, forced labor, and food theft, leaving them frequently hungry.

Christopher's resentment towards Hannah intensified. He believed her wealth ensured her comfort while he suffered, blaming her for their predicament. Initially sentenced to fifteen days, their unexpected release came after lunch that day. Mrs. Wilson, overwhelmed by the prospect of penniless freedom and a sealed home, initially refused to leave. She lacked funds and housing.

The guards, however, forcibly removed her. Aware of Lady Wilson's destitute state, Gena offered a cynical suggestion: "Lady, block a bus. The police will return you to social security!" Relieved, Lady Wilson gratefully promised to return. Wendy, silent and uncertain about her future, followed her grandmother. Wendy considered working at a KTV, rationalizing it given her tarnished reputation after her relationship with Kenneth Wilson. She resolved to ignore her grandmother if the latter chose to return to the detention center.

At the release processing office, they encountered a luxuriously dressed man surrounded by respectful guards. Identifying themselves as the Wilson family, they learned he was their bailer and would reunite them with Christopher and Harold.

Chapter 1072

Wendy excitedly confirmed her father and brother's release. The man, impassively, stated his men had arranged for them. Lady Wilson, feeling they were in no immediate danger, readily agreed to accompany him. They completed the release procedures, changed clothes, and left with the man. Two Rolls-Royce Phantoms awaited outside. The man instructed the women to take the second car.

Mrs. Wilson, awestruck by the Rolls-Royces, which symbolized a wealth beyond their family’s peak, gratefully accepted the offer. After a twenty-minute drive, they realized they were headed towards the airport. Wendy confirmed their proximity to the airport expressway. Lady Wilson suspected Charlie Wade's involvement, questioning whether he was secretly exiling them from Aurouss Hill. Wendy speculated that it might be Kenneth Wilson, motivated by a lingering affection, taking them to Eastcliff. Lady Wilson dismissed this, citing Kenneth's current ineptitude. Wendy, despite past resentments, reflected on Kenneth's past generosity, contrasting it with her current hardship. The Rolls-Royces continued towards the airport.

Chapter 1073

Despite her confusion, Mrs. Wilson felt no immediate danger, believing that harming her impoverished self wouldn't be worth the trouble. The Rolls-Royces arrived at Aurouss Hill Airport, where Webb's Gulfstream jet—the same plane that transported Hannah to Southaven—awaited. Mrs. Wilson was astonished by the private jet, recognizing the immense wealth it represented.

As they disembarked near the plane, Harold emerged, followed by Christopher. An emotional reunion ensued, with Lady Wilson distraught at their gaunt appearances. She was primarily concerned about her own welfare, yet her maternal instincts were rekindled. The stark contrast between her relatively unscathed appearance and her sons' deteriorated states was striking.

Chapter 1074

Lady Wilson tearfully questioned the identity of their bailer. Christopher and Harold explained they were unexpectedly transported to the airport and were unaware of their benefactor's identity. Thomas Webb, identifying himself as a member of the prominent southern Webb family, explained he was acting on his brother Donald's orders, urging them to board the plane for further explanation. Overwhelmed by the revelation of the Webb family's involvement, Lady Wilson readily complied.

The Wilson family boarded the plane, Mrs. Wilson and Wendy awestruck by the luxury. Thomas Webb, seemingly disdainful of the family, requested the services of a stewardess, receiving preferential treatment. Harold's attempt to be served by the same stewardess was curtly refused. The flight to Southaven was uneventful, each member harboring their own thoughts and speculations.

Chapter 1075

The plane landed in Southaven, where more Rolls-Royces awaited. Meanwhile, Donald Webb, burdened by the family’s plummeting stock value and his father's coma, struggled to salvage the Webb family's reputation. He lamented the shortcomings of his own abilities and those of his sons, Kian and Sean, comparing them unfavorably to his father's entrepreneurial prowess. The Wilson family’s arrival at the Webb villa remained unknown for the time being.
