The Amazing Son-in-Law Chapter 1146

At Aurouss Hill Airport, Wade’s private plane was ready for takeoff. It would depart immediately upon Charlie Wade's arrival and transport him to Golim Mountain within two hours. In contrast, the Webb family's private jet required at least three hours. Furthermore, the Webb family lacked the Wade family's ability to mobilize resources nationwide or globally.

I suspect the Eight Great Heavenly Kings will find no helicopter awaiting them at Golim Mountain. At best, the Webb family will provide off-road vehicles to take them to the mountain base. According to Don Albertt, the drive from Golim Mountain Airport to the Weaver family's village takes at least two hours in good weather. Snow and poor road conditions could extend the journey to over three hours. A helicopter, however, would take only forty minutes.

Therefore, Charlie Wade had ample time to arrive before the Eight Heavenly Kings. A helicopter landed at the end of the runway, next to Wade's business jet. As Charlie Wade disembarked, the jet's door opened, revealing Cameron Isaac.

Surprised, Charlie Wade asked, "Why are you here?"

Cameron Isaac replied hastily, "Master, I was too worried about you traveling alone. Fearing you wouldn't want me to follow, I took matters into my own hands. Please forgive me."

Charlie Wade nodded gently. "You're here now, so there's no turning back. Let's go; let's get this plane airborne."

Don Albertt, having known for some time that Charlie Wade was Cameron Isaac's young master, wasn't surprised. However, his limited knowledge of the Wade family led him to respectfully address Charlie Wade as "Master Wade" instead of "Mr. Wade." This was partly due to Charlie Wade's reticence about his identity; using "Mr. Wade" might reveal his family connections.

Liam, however, was stunned. Recognizing Cameron Isaac, he immediately deduced Charlie Wade's identity. He was shocked to learn that his Master Wade was not only incredibly powerful but also the eldest son of the prominent Eastcliff Wade family. He was awestruck by both Master Wade's exceptional abilities and his prestigious background. No wonder he was called a "true dragon on earth"!

Kneeling, Liam declared respectfully, "Master Wade, you are the noble young master of the Wade family, yet you fought for justice on my behalf, for my deceased mother, and secured my family's property. I am eternally grateful!"

Charlie Wade responded calmly, "Liam, if your gratitude is genuine, and you wish to follow me wholeheartedly, I will ensure your prosperity." He then turned to Don Albertt, smiling, "Don Albertt, the same applies to you."

Don Albertt immediately knelt, stating respectfully, "Master, since you rescued me from the Webb family's bodyguards, my life is yours!"

The Amazing Son-in-Law Chapter 1147

The Wade family's business jet soared toward Golim Mountain at remarkable speed. Even Charlie Wade marveled at its velocity, understanding why the Wade family held their position at the top of China's elite. The strategic placement of such aircraft in major cities allowed the family to gain a crucial advantage in emergencies. Securing an opportunity first significantly increased their chances of success.

Cameron Isaac informed Charlie Wade, "Master, the Wade family possesses an even faster aircraft, but it's one of a kind, stored at Eastcliff Airport."

"Oh?" Charlie Wade inquired curiously, "A faster plane?"

"Yes!" Cameron Isaac confirmed. "Have you heard of the Concorde? Years ago, France developed a supersonic passenger plane capable of twice the speed of sound, cruising at 2150 kilometers per hour."

Charlie Wade exclaimed, "I've heard of Concorde, but isn't it retired?"

Cameron Isaac explained, "Retirement simply means it's no longer in public service. Its speed, high operating costs, and sonic boom made it inaccessible to the average person. However, four of the best-maintained Concordes were purchased by the world's wealthiest families and continue to receive top-tier maintenance."

Charlie Wade was astonished that his grandfather had purchased a Concorde, showcasing the extraordinary vision of the older generation of entrepreneurs. While exceedingly expensive, the Concorde provided a two-to-threefold speed advantage at crucial moments.

A typical business jet reaches eight or nine hundred kilometers per hour, but the Concorde could reach 2.5 times that speed. For a billion-dollar deal in the United States, the first to arrive would win, and the Concorde ensured the Wade family's victory. While other planes took eleven or twelve hours, the Concorde would take about five.

Two hours later, Charlie Wade's plane landed at Golimshan Airport, where a helicopter awaited. After disembarking, he asked Cameron Isaac to inquire about the Webb family's private jet.

Cameron Isaac made a call and soon reported, impressed, "Master, you were right. The tower just received a landing request for a private jet; it will arrive in an hour."

Charlie Wade nodded in satisfaction. "An hour's head start is sufficient. Let's enjoy the Golim Mountain scenery!"

He then boarded the waiting helicopter with Cameron Isaac, Don Albertt, and Liam. The helicopter ascended and flew towards Golim Mountain. It was past four in the morning; winter's darkness still held, but a bright moon illuminated the landscape. Forty minutes later, they landed a kilometer from the village.

Don Albertt, familiar with the terrain, pointed to a snow-covered mountain road. "Master, this is the only access road. If the Eight Heavenly Kings don't use a helicopter, this is their only option."

Charlie Wade nodded. "In that case, we'll wait here."

Don Albertt suggested, "Master, should we call for reinforcements?"

Charlie Wade simply replied, "No need."

Cameron Isaac, concerned for the young master's safety, worried, "Master, the Eight Heavenly Kings are formidable opponents. It's best to have backup."

Charlie Wade firmly stated, "This matter concerns only the four of us. Any further disclosure will be punishable!"

The other three were visibly shocked by the implicit threat and unwavering dominance in his tone. It was clear he intended to eliminate the Eight Heavenly Kings.

Meanwhile, the Eight Heavenly Kings arrived at Golim Mountain Airport. Unlike Charlie Wade, who had used a helicopter, they exited the passenger terminal, lacking the influence to secure preferential treatment. The Webb family's power was primarily concentrated in Southaven and diminished significantly further north. The Wade family, however, commanded influence throughout the country. They could easily eliminate the Webb family in Southaven, if they so desired; it was a stark illustration of the power difference between a top family and a regional one.

The Eight Heavenly Kings, led by Duran, found two off-road vehicles at the airport gate; a last-minute, expensive rental arranged by the Webb family. After boarding, they set off towards the mountains. Duran, using a walkie-talkie, barked, "Brothers, it's a two-hour drive. We kill anyone who stands in our way!"

Two off-road vehicles traversed the snow-covered mountain road, the only vehicles for miles. Driving through the blinding snow, Duran grumbled, "That Wade brat is a beast. He could have simply killed the father and son; why send them to this godforsaken place?"

The driver replied, "I heard before we left that Wade is ruthless. He's known to send people to dig ginseng or coal, and even forced a CEO to carry cement at a construction site."

Duran remarked casually, "Remember the fate of the beggars? A dozen welded into a car and sunk. Their bodies are still undiscovered, left to the fish and crabs."

The driver said, "They're dead; what fate is there?"

Duran described the gruesome fate: "The bodies are left to be consumed, bones and all, by fish, shrimps, and crabs; the fish spa type that eat even skin and scales."

A man in the back shouted, "No wonder the family wants him dead! He's evil!"

Duran stated, "We can't be careless. This fight requires our full effort."

The driver inquired, "Brother, do you think there will be masters on Golim Mountain?"

"Probably not," Duran responded. "Donald's men encountered only armed bodyguards, not masters, before they were killed."

The driver smiled, "We've trained in iron body techniques. We're no masters, but bullets can't hurt us. Tonight is just a massacre."

Another man added, "If only Charlie Wade were here. We could kill him and return for our reward from Master Webb!"

Duran said, "Wade shouldn't be here. The Webb family's investigation placed him in Aurouss Hill before our departure." He sighed, "If only he was here; Master Webb promised us hundreds of millions for his head."

The driver asked, "Brother, could the second son's strange illness be connected to Charlie Wade?"

Duran shook his head, "It's a possibility, but we can't be sure. The illness is truly strange and incurable."

Meanwhile, Charlie Wade, unfazed by the cold, stood on the hillside with Cameron Isaac, Don Albertt, and a shivering Liam. Cameron Isaac cursed the Eight Heavenly Kings for their slow arrival. Don Albertt, concerned, asked about Charlie Wade's thin clothing, but Charlie Wade was unaffected by the cold.

After a ten-minute wait, Charlie Wade spotted the headlights of two vehicles on the winding road. Cameron Isaac confirmed their arrival. Charlie Wade smiled, "I almost fell asleep waiting for them." Don Albertt drew his pistol, but Charlie Wade told him it would be useless. Don Albertt realized that masters could withstand bullets.

Cameron Isaac asked, "Master, what do we do? Let me know if I can help."

Charlie Wade smiled, "You don't need to help. Just watch."

Don Albertt suggested, "Master, just strike them down with lightning like you did with the father and son."

Charlie Wade replied, "I'm tired of using lightning. Let's use martial arts this time."

As the vehicles approached, Charlie Wade walked down to the center of the road. The others followed. Duran, drowsy, was informed they were near their destination. A junior member alerted the others via walkie-talkie. As the vehicles rounded a bend, the driver saw someone standing in the middle of the road, exclaiming, "What the f*ck is that, a human or a ghost?!"
