Chapter 1281

"Let David Carson, a man in his fifties with a family, marry Mr. Ward's daughter?" Charlie Wade's suggestion stunned everyone.

Mr. Ward exploded. "Are you looking for death? I want my daughter to marry Steve, not his father!"

Charlie Wade smiled. "You lack vision. Steve doesn't want to marry your daughter. His parents want her gone, so the best solution is for his father to marry her. Wouldn't everyone be happy?"

Leann, David Carson's wife, was furious. "My husband marrying Mr. Ward's daughter? What about me?"

Charlie Wade chuckled. "You want Mr. Ward's daughter out of the picture? Isn't this what you wanted? Thank me for finding such a perfect solution."

Turning to David Carson, Charlie Wade grinned. "Old man, you've been watching this 'bad lady' for years. I'm giving you a new, young wife, a fifty-million dowry, and a son. What a deal!"

Leann raged, pointing at Charlie Wade. "You're here to cause trouble! I'll have your legs broken!"

She then turned to Mr. Ward, pleading, "Mr. Ward, this bastard is manipulating everything! My husband's age doesn't matter, but your daughter is unmarried. He's insulting her!"

Mr. Ward was livid. "You dare provoke me? Do you know who I am?"

Charlie Wade sneered. "I don't care who you are. David Carson will be your son-in-law."

Mr. Ward trembled. He valued his daughter's reputation, desperately seeking a husband for her. This proposal was a slap in the face.

"Kneel and apologize," Mr. Ward roared, "or you'll regret it!"

Charlie Wade smirked. "Oh? Let's see how good you are."

Leann screamed, "You dare talk to Mr. Ward like that? I'll have you killed!"

Chapter 1282

Charlie Wade surveyed the Carson family's relatives and friends—ordinary people he could easily subdue. He preferred to avoid violence.

He addressed Leann, "Bad lady, you're still defending Mr. Ward? Your husband will soon be his son-in-law, and you'll be kicked out by the Carsons. He's your rival's father!"

Leann, breathless with rage, yelled at Gary, "Gary, help me kill this bastard!"

Gary recoiled. "Second Aunt, you said we weren't family and told me to leave. Now you want my help? You change your mind faster than a book!"

He refused, stating that they weren't family. The other grandchildren followed suit.

Leann, realizing she'd misjudged Gary, turned back to Mr. Ward. "Mr. Ward, this bastard is insulting you and your daughter! Have him killed! This will ruin your reputation!"

Enraged, Mr. Ward declared, "I'll call someone to kill you!" He dialed a number, putting it on speakerphone. "Caesar Hilton, one of Don Albertt's Four Heavenly Kings, is coming for you!"

Charlie Wade smiled, "Please, call more people. It's my daughter's wedding day—the more the merrier!"

Chapter 1283

Mr. Ward's supermarket business thrived on connections with the underworld, particularly Caesar Hilton. He’d recently given Caesar a significant bribe.

Caesar, upon hearing the request, readily agreed: "I'll bring some people."

Mr. Ward hung up, sneering at Charlie Wade. "I gave you a chance, but now it's too late."

Charlie Wade asked, "Caesar Hilton? Is this John Rambo?"

Mr. Ward coldly replied, "Caesar, one of Don Albertt's Four Heavenly Kings!"

Steve pleaded with Charlie Wade to leave, fearing for his and Claire's safety.

Charlie Wade replied, "Don't apologize. Don't blame me for finding you a stepmother."

Charlie Wade then challenged Mr. Ward, "One Heavenly King isn't enough! Call the other three! It's a wedding—let's make it festive!"

Mr. Ward fumed, "I'll show you what happens when you get out of line!"

Charlie Wade sighed, "You old people are so short-tempered. I'll call some more people to celebrate with you."

Mr. Ward challenged him to a showdown.

Charlie Wade texted Don Albertt, requesting the remaining three Heavenly Kings to attend the "wedding celebration."

He then texted Cameron Isaac, inviting him to witness the events unfold.

Chapter 1284

Minutes later, multiple vehicles arrived, carrying Don Albertt's men. Caesar arrived, and Mr. Ward immediately pointed out Charlie Wade.

Caesar was shocked to recognize Charlie Wade. He trembled, knowing the consequences of angering him.

Charlie Wade said, "You've mistaken me."

Before Caesar could explain, Mr. Ward yelled, "Are you going to let him kill you? Have him chopped up!"

Caesar, terrified, slapped Mr. Ward. "Mr. Ward, do you want to die? I could kill you!"

Mr. Ward was stunned. Why was Caesar hitting him?

Chapter 1285

Caesar slapped Mr. Ward again, yelling for him to listen.

Mr. Ward, humiliated, apologized. Caesar, still terrified, demanded an explanation.

Mr. Ward recounted the entire incident. Caesar was astonished by the events, particularly Charlie Wade's plan to marry David Carson and Mr. Ward's daughter. He realized there was no changing Charlie Wade's decision.

Mr. Ward pleaded with Caesar for help.

Caesar, awkwardly, suggested that they should simply proceed with the marriage, considering it a solution to their problem.

David Carson and Leann were furious, wondering if Caesar had been hired by Charlie Wade. The chapter ends with their inner turmoil.
