Chapter 1391

Thinking of the past, Stephen Thompson wept. Charlie Wade's heart ached as he listened. Years had passed, but the pain and resentment of his parents' murder—a murder he now knew was deliberate, not accidental—remained intensely. A son's hatred for his parents' killers is immeasurable. Without Thompson needing to say it, Charlie would seek vengeance. He wouldn't waste his life.

His voice was indifferent: “Steward Thompson, don't worry. I swear to God, I will avenge my parents! Every person involved will pay.”

“Good!” Stephen Thompson was excited, but cautioned, “Master, don’t be impulsive. There are many unsolved clues. Don’t expose yourself prematurely…”

Charlie Wade replied, “I know.”

He continued, “I have another question. Answer truthfully.”

“Master, ask away!”

Charlie Wade paused, then asked, “Did you arrange my meeting with Claire Wilson?”

Stephen Thompson hastily replied, “No… I knew your wife’s grandfather. I didn't expect him to meet you at your worksite and arrange your marriage to his granddaughter. While I knew she wasn't worthy of you, I didn't interfere. I prioritized your safety and avoided disrupting your life.”

Charlie Wade breathed a sigh of relief. He knew Thompson had orchestrated his orphanage upbringing, and feared Claire's entry into his life was another of Thompson's schemes.

He said, “Steward Thompson, I have a dinner appointment. Help me sort through your findings these past few days. I'll speak with you personally if time permits.”

“Yes, Master!”

After hanging up, Charlie noticed tears on his cheeks. He had just learned his parents were murdered over a decade ago, and that his orphanage placement was a deliberate act by Thompson to conceal his identity. The world felt unfamiliar, a sensation he'd last experienced at eight, upon learning of his parents' deaths, and later, when he discovered the Apocalyptic Book.

Liam called. “Master Wade, shall I pick you up?”

“No need,” Charlie said. “I'm picking up my wife. I'll be there soon.” He hung up and rode his electric bike to Claire’s studio.

Chapter 1392

At the Aurouss Hill Welfare Institute, the dean respectfully asked Stephen Thompson, “Steward Thompson, what now?”

Thompson sighed, “Now that the young master knows, you're no longer needed here. Return to the Wade family. I'll arrange your resettlement. Thank you for your years of service.”

The dean bowed. “Steward Thompson, I pledged my loyalty to the second son. I will serve Young Master Charlie Wade until my death!”

Thompson nodded. “You are all highly trained elites. For over a decade, you served in a humble orphanage. Rest now. When the young master inherits the Wade family, you'll serve him loyally.”

“He's kind, upright, and good. He will treat you well.”

The dean agreed, “His childhood hardships shaped him. That's a quality rarely seen in other wealthy young men.”

Thompson smiled. “Perhaps his time in the orphanage wasn't a bad thing after all. He is the only son of the second son, and no less worthy.”

Thompson then announced, “I’m returning to Eastcliff. Meet and hand over the orphanage to the relevant Aurouss Hill authorities. I’ll send funds tomorrow. Rest and reunite with your families.”

The dean bowed. “Thank you, Steward Thompson!”

He then inquired, “What about Mrs. Lewis? She now knows a lot of inside information.”

Thompson responded, “She’s served the young master for years. It's time for her to retire. I have a manor in Canada for her. Ensure she doesn’t contact the Master until he inherits the Wade family.”

The dean mentioned Mrs. Lewis's adopted daughter, Lisa, who works at the orphanage and is unaware of the situation.

Thompson sighed, “Tell Lisa selectively, and let her accompany her adoptive mother to Canada. I've investigated her; she’s loyal and poses no threat.”

“Understood!”

That night, the Aurouss Hill Welfare Institute underwent a complete staff change. No one understood the sudden replacement of the entire team. They were like a disciplined army, exiting the battlefield in an orderly manner.

Mrs. Lewis knew she couldn’t stay, and would abide by the Wade family's instructions. She agreed to go to Canada. She wouldn't tell Lisa the truth initially, only mentioning that her benefactor had funded her trip.

Chapter 1393

Charlie Wade arrived at Claire's studio. “Husband, why are your eyes red?” she asked.

“Wind and sand,” he replied, smiling and rubbing his eyes.

Claire was concerned. “Don’t always use your electric bike. You have two cars!”

“I prefer it,” he said. “Convenient, fast, simple, and environmentally friendly.”

Claire smiled helplessly. She’d just finished a case for the Emgrand Group. “Mr. Young would happily cover a car purchase for you.”

“No need. If I wanted to, I’d already be driving Mr. White’s supercars.”

Claire gave up. “Let me know when you’ve had enough electric bikes.”

Charlie said, “We need to leave. I have a dinner appointment.”

“Who with?” Claire asked, intrigued.

“A distinguished guest,” he replied mysteriously. “You'll know when we arrive.”

Claire questioned if it was another feng shui client.

Charlie smiled, “It’s a secret for now.”

They left for the Shangri-La Hotel. Liam was already waiting in a luxury box with Stefanie Sun and Cherie. Cameron Isaac, the Wade family's spokesperson in Aurouss Hill, was informed of the dinner.

Upon entering the box, Cameron Isaac was astonished to see Stefanie Sun. Could she be the guest? He knew of her close relationship with the young master and her family's search for him. This situation was awkward, given Charlie Wade's marriage.

Chapter 1394

Stefanie Sun confronted Cameron Isaac. “Did you know Charlie Wade is in Aurouss Hill?”

Cameron Isaac stammered, unsure how to respond.

Stefanie angrily accused him of withholding information.

Cherie was surprised. “Stefanie, you mean that Charlie Wade?”

Stefanie confirmed. “He's been so hard to find!”

Cherie exclaimed, “Great! You can get married! You said you'd quit the entertainment industry after finding him.”

Stefanie blushed. “But… he’s married…”

Cherie exploded. “What?! That good-for-nothing Wade! He has a fiancée and yet he married another woman?!”

Liam and Cameron Isaac exchanged uneasy glances. Liam was shocked to learn of Stefanie and Charlie Wade's relationship.

Chapter 1395

Stefanie asked them to keep her relationship with Charlie Wade a secret at dinner.

Cherie protested, suggesting that Stefanie reveal their relationship to Charlie’s wife.

Stefanie firmly refused, emphasizing her commitment to keeping her promise to Charlie Wade.

Cherie argued with her about this.

Charlie Wade and Claire Wilson arrived. Claire asked about the mysterious guest.

Charlie smiled, “Someone you want to see.”

“The person I want to see most?” Claire pondered.

“You’ll know when you see them.”

He knocked on the door and opened it. Claire was stunned to see Stefanie Sun. “Charlie, is that Stefanie Sun?”
