Chapter 1741

Aman Hotel, Tokyo. After showering, Zara used her laptop to video conference with Zayne in Eastcliff, her brother present. They truthfully reported Takahashi's significant concessions to Zayne, who was greatly surprised. “Excellent,” Zayne said, smiling. “Takahashi Jinzhi’s willingness to reduce his share to 25% is unexpected. Your grandfather’s target was 30%, with a maximum tolerance of 35%. He reduced it by 10% from his maximum. Grandfather will be thrilled and reward you handsomely!”

Fitz smiled. “Dad, if Grandpa rewards us, could he give us the entire ocean shipping business?”

Zayne smiled. “I’ll try to convince him; the chances are high. You focus on the Japanese cooperation, and I’ll speak to Grandfather.”

Zara quickly waved her hand. “Dad, I don't want it. Let Brother handle it.”

Zayne was amazed. “Why? Why refuse such an opportunity?”

Zara explained seriously, “I’m pursuing an MBA in the US after this.”

Fitz exclaimed, “Sister, you're incredibly talented! An MBA is a waste of time. Return to the family and secure resources!”

Zara shook her head. “Learning is continuous. I don't want to return to work so soon, nor am I interested in family resources.”

Zayne urged, “Zara, you’re not young. It’s time to consider marriage. An MBA takes too long. Get married in two years.”

Zara countered, “Marry? Whom?”

Zayne responded, “Your grandfather will choose.”

“I refuse,” Zara shook her head. “If Grandfather chooses, I might as well marry someone I find appealing on the streets of Tokyo.”

Zayne angrily said, “Don't let your grandfather hear you. He'll never approve of you marrying a Japanese!”

Zara smirked, saying sullenly to Zayne, “Who says I’ll marry a Japanese? There are many handsome Chinese men in Tokyo. I met one—tall, handsome, and appealing. I might marry him instead of letting Grandfather choose.”

Fitz awkwardly asked, “Do you even know his name?”

Zara hummed, “It’s an analogy. I can ask him next time.”

Fitz smiled, “I doubt you’ll have the chance. Takahashi won't let him leave Japan alive.”

Zara raised an eyebrow. “How do you know Takahashi can kill him? He seems capable.”

Fitz shook his head, smiling. “Even a strong dragon can't suppress a local snake. Two fists can’t beat four hands, let alone forty or four hundred.”

Zara's expression turned serious. Her earlier words were said in anger, but thinking of the man, she worried for him. Fearing Takahashi wouldn't let him go, she blurted out, “I’ll warn Takahashi. If he attacks that man after cooperation, I’ll terminate the deal!”

Fitz frowned. “The Matsumoto family? Ranked third in Tokyo?”

“Yes.”

Fitz asked Zayne and Zara, “Dad, Zara, should we meet?”

Zayne scoffed, “The Matsumoto family is weaker than the Takahashi and Ito families. We choose between Takahashi and Ito; don’t waste time on them.”

Fitz told the assistant, “Reject them. Say we’re unavailable.”

Zara spoke up, “Brother, let’s see him. It’s impressive that Ryoto Matsumoto united the Matsumoto family. The patriarch coming to the hotel shows humility. Refusing is unjustifiable.”

Zayne said, “Zara, you overthink. If we see Matsumoto, every family in Tokyo will come. Can you handle that?”
