Chapter 1914

"You asshole! I let you beat me! You f*cking country shrew, I'd dare beat you myself, let alone you!"

Elaine Ma, still bound, was helpless as Cynthia unleashed a furious barrage of blows on her face and head.

Elaine Ma yelled, begging for mercy. "Oh, sister, please don't beat me! I know I was wrong!"

"Knowing you were wrong?" Corran's rage intensified. He slammed a hammer down near Elaine Ma, shouting, "You killed my Lady! You telling her you're sorry isn't enough! It's not just about today; I'll kill you if I have to!"

Terror seizing her, Elaine Ma blurted out, "Sister, forgive me! Don't forget, you're Charlie Wade's aunt, and I'm his mother-in-law—we're family! Relatives don't kill each other! If my son-in-law turns against you because of this, you'll regret it!"

Cynthia snorted coldly. "I'm going to your mother! My Lady is no relation to a poor ghost like you! If Charlie Wade dares to bring your family back to the Wade house, my Lady will not let him go!"

Donald, witnessing this, perked up. "Ms. Wade, at your word, I'll have this woman killed!"

Elaine Ma looked at Cynthia in horror, pleading, "Sister, please spare me! At worst, label me like Christopher and Harold—that's the least you can do…"

Cynthia wanted Elaine Ma dead. However, remembering her father's instructions, she hesitated. She knew that if Donald killed Elaine Ma, Charlie Wade would never forgive her. If Charlie Wade then rebelled against the Wade family, her father would surely blame her for failing.

Abandoning the idea of killing Elaine Ma, she glared at her, gritting her teeth. "You f*cking dare talk back to me? My Lady can't kill you today because of Charlie Wade's face, but you've committed a capital offense. You can avoid death, but not the living hell you'll face!"

Turning to Donald, she barked, "Break her hands and feet!"

"Ms. Wade, don't worry, leave it to me!" Donald immediately responded. He then yelled to his men, "Come here, break her hands and feet!"

Several subordinates rushed forward. Elaine Ma sobbed uncontrollably as they grabbed her. Without a word, they picked up a brick and smashed it against her right knee. The pain caused her to faint almost instantly. Her right knee had been broken once before in the detention center by Lady Wilson; it had only recently healed. This time, the agony was unbearable; she felt utterly hopeless.

Elaine Ma cried out, "Please forgive me! My leg… it's broken again! You want to kill me…!"

Donald roared, "Shut the f*ck up! Miss Wade ordered broken hands and legs, and you've only had a quarter of it done!"

Elaine Ma screamed hysterically, "Then kill me! Kill me! I'd rather die than suffer this!"

Donald spat in disgust, "What a f*cking shrew! Get this done!"

Just as a man prepared to attack Elaine Ma's other leg, the warehouse door burst open.

A dozen armed men in black stormed in, guns drawn, pointing them at everyone inside.

Their leader, gun in hand, said coldly, "No one moves. Anyone who dares will regret it."
