Then, turning to someone (presumably his mother), he said, โMom, are you getting paid for half a day's work? If so, give me some money. I'll buy some steamed buns and cook dinner.โ
Wendyโs eyes reddened, and she sobbed, โDad and my brother have cried themselves to sleep from hunger several times. Itโs so pitifulโฆโ
