Chapter 131

A crisp snap echoed! Sharon's back was further injured! Another one! Both husband and wife were now quadriplegics! Recovery was impossible.

Isaac stepped forward and said respectfully, “Boss, the three hundred excavators and bulldozers are here. A single order from you, and we’ll raze Elite Safe Enterprise to the ground!”

“Excellent!” Charlie Wade responded coldly. “Tell everyone to evacuate in ten minutes! Ten minutes later, level this place.”

Daniel and Sharon gaped in shock. All their hard work, and it ended like this? They were finished. Without money, who would care for them?

Charlie Wade didn't care. He activated the emergency alarm, and the factory emptied. He carried the sleeping Claire Wilson, and his men carried the disabled Daniel and Sharon.

As they left the complex, the factory was nearly deserted. Workers fled as if there was a fire. Three hundred excavators and bulldozers surrounded the building. Isaac’s men evacuated employees to a safe zone.

Standing in the square, Charlie Wade said to Daniel and Sharon, “Watch your life's work turn to ashes!”

He ordered Isaac, “Let the equipment in! Tear it down!”

The ground shook as the excavators and bulldozers moved in. Their booms smashed into the factory, tearing it apart. Bulldozers pushed the debris aside, flattening the site completely.

Daniel and Sharon watched in horror. This was their life's work! Every brick, every tile—their child was being destroyed. The agony was unbearable. They wanted to die.

But it wouldn't be that easy. Charlie Wade wouldn't let them die. He wanted them to suffer.

He looked at the couple and said, “I’ll spare your lives, but remember, if anyone reveals my identity, I’ll kill them and their families. Do you understand?”

They sobbed, “No, young master! We won’t disobey you!”

Charlie Wade nodded. Watching the ruins, he felt a release.

He told Isaac, “Get the helicopter. I’m taking my wife home.”

Isaac nodded. “Sir, I believe your wife was drugged. Should we take her to the hospital, or send a doctor to the house?”

Charlie Wade waved his hand. “Just take us home.”

At home, Claire Wilson remained unconscious; Charlie Wade hadn't yet removed the Reiki from her body.

Chapter 132

Charlie Wade gently placed Claire Wilson on the bed and carefully removed the Reiki. She slowly opened her eyes.

“Dear!” She sat up and hugged him, sobbing.

Charlie Wade comforted her, “It’s alright, sweetheart. We’re home.”

“We’re home?” She looked around, stunned. She looked at Charlie Wade. “What did Daniel and his wife do to you?”

“Nothing,” Charlie Wade said calmly. “They’re paralyzed. Elite Vault is rubble. Unjust actions lead to destruction.”

Claire Wilson was shocked. “What? How? What happened?”

Charlie Wade smiled faintly. “I asked some friends for help. It turned out the building and factories were jerry-built.”

Claire Wilson frowned. “They worked for years, and one explosion brought it all down? Incredible.”

Charlie Wade replied, “I think they were punished for their misdeeds!”

He texted Isaac: “Tell the media that Elite Safe Enterprise’s factories were jerry-built and collapsed due to a domino effect triggered by an explosion.”

Isaac replied instantly, “Okay, boss. The news will be up soon!”

Minutes later, news alerts flooded Claire Wilson’s phone. The headlines screamed about an accident at Elite Safe Enterprise, the collapse of poorly built factories, injuries to Daniel and Sharon, and paralysis.

Charlie Wade smiled. “See? I wasn’t bluffing.”

Claire Wilson sighed, “Karma’s a bitch!” She asked, “Did they hurt me?”

Charlie Wade shook his head. “No. Your clothes were untouched. Daniel’s wife stopped him from attacking you.”

Tears streamed down Claire Wilson’s cheeks. “Charlie Wade, I’m sorry…”

“Foolish woman, what are you talking about? It’s my fault. I couldn’t protect you.”

Warmth filled Claire Wilson’s heart. She embraced him tightly. She felt his love deeply.

News of Elite Safe Enterprise’s collapse sent shockwaves through Aurouss Hill. Everyone speculated about who was responsible. Many pointed towards the mysterious ultra-rich man—the chairman of Emgrand Group—due to his recent high-profile actions.

Chapter 133

The saddest person about Elite Safe Enterprise’s demise was Lady Wilson. Wilson Group's financial troubles had relied on securing credit with Elite Safe. Now, her biggest worry was raising capital.

Claire Wilson didn't tell her grandmother what happened. She focused on her work at Emgrand Group.

The next morning, Charlie Wade returned home from the market to find his father-in-law, Jacob Wilson, sighing heavily.

He frowned. “Father, what’s wrong? Did someone bother you? Or scam you?”

Jacob Wilson sighed. “Don’t mention antiques! I’m so angry!”

“What’s wrong?” Charlie Wade asked. “Someone scammed you again?”

“No! It’s the guest list for the Treasure Pavilion auction!”

Charlie Wade was confused. “What is the Treasure Pavilion?”

“It’s an Aurouss Hill Antique and Cultural Relic Organization hall. They hold high-end auctions. Every prominent family gets an invitation.”

Jacob Wilson looked dejected. “The Wilson family has one card, and your grandmother gave it to Harold! He knows nothing about antiques!”

Charlie Wade knew his father-in-law was heartbroken. He said, “Dad, if you really want to go, buy a card from a scalper.”

Jacob Wilson shook his head. “No. The Moore family organizes it. They’re the most powerful family. No other way to get a card.”

Charlie Wade chuckled. He knew Jasmine Moore. A phone call would suffice.

He said casually, “I know someone who knows someone from the Moore family. Getting two invitations will be easy.”

Jacob Wilson was skeptical.

Charlie Wade called Jasmine. “Miss Moore, can I get two invitations to the Treasure Pavilion auction?”

Jasmine said, “Mr. Wade, two? I can give you more if you want.”

“Two will be enough. It’s just me and my father-in-law.”

After the Antique Street incident, Charlie Wade wanted to be there to protect his father-in-law. He also hoped to find rare items at the auction. He thought of the "peace and riches" pebble he’d lost after saving Loreen. He’d absorbed its Reiki, so at least that was positive.

Chapter 134

Even when Claire Wilson came home, Jacob Wilson was still sulky.

Jasmine called. “Mr. Wade, I’m downstairs. Can you get the invitations?”

Charlie Wade said, “Okay, I’m coming!”

He rushed down to find Jasmine in her Rolls Royce. She handed him two invitations.

Back home, Jacob Wilson was still sulking.

Claire Wilson tried to reassure him, “Dad, Grandmother gave Harold the card to network.”

Jacob Wilson sighed. “Your grandmother’s always favored Harold and his father!”

Claire Wilson nodded. She knew her grandmother favored her cousin and uncle. Her family’s status declined after she married Charlie Wade.

Charlie Wade approached and handed Jacob Wilson two gold invitations. “Dad, I have the invitation card you wanted.”

“What?!” Jacob Wilson jumped up in shock! He opened it, ecstatic. Claire Wilson was also stunned.

“Wow, Charlie Wade, you’re my great son-in-law!” Jacob Wilson exclaimed, patting Charlie Wade’s shoulder.

“Huh, it’s just an invitation,” Elaine Ma sneered sarcastically.

Jacob Wilson glared at her. “What do you know? This is from the Treasure Pavilion!”

He turned to Charlie Wade, “Come, let’s eat!” He told Claire Wilson, “Get the good scotch. I want to drink with my great son-in-law.”

Elaine Ma glared at Charlie Wade.

Claire Wilson was happy for her father, but hesitant. She asked Charlie Wade, “Where did you get the invitations?”

How did he do it? The invitations were limited to one per family!

Charlie Wade smiled, “I asked a friend. He didn’t want to go, so he gave them to me.”

“Really?” Claire Wilson frowned, unconvinced. “How come I never heard of this friend? What’s his name?”

Charlie Wade said, “His last name is Quinton. I helped him on Antique Street. Father knows him…”

Jacob Wilson confirmed, “Oh yes, he gave Charlie a jade bracelet worth five or six million!”

Chapter 135

When Elaine Ma heard about the bracelet, her eyes widened.

“Bracelet? Where is it? Show me!”

Charlie Wade said steadily, “Mom, it’s in my bedroom, but I plan to return it.”

Elaine Ma frowned. “Why return such a priceless gift?”

“It’s a small token. I don’t deserve such an expensive gift.”

“Stop talking!” Elaine Ma blurted. “Since he gave it to you, take it! Where is it? If you don’t want it, I do!”

Charlie Wade knew his mother-in-law’s intentions. He wanted to give it to Claire Wilson, but couldn't find a reason. His father-in-law had just spoiled the surprise! It wasn’t that he couldn't afford it—he had billions—but his mother-in-law's flamboyant style wasn't suited to such an expensive piece.

Elaine Ma didn't want to miss out. Wearing a six-million-dollar bracelet would be an honor!

She continued to pester Charlie Wade. “Where is it? Show me!”

Claire Wilson knew if her mother got it, it would be impossible to get back, so she said, “Mom, let’s keep it. It’s better to return it than return a damaged one.”

“What? You want to return it?” Elaine Ma stood up and scolded, “Are you insane?”

Claire Wilson knew her mother would throw a tantrum, so she said firmly, “Mom, stop. I’ve already discussed it with Charlie Wade. The deal is settled.”

Elaine Ma said, "It's bad enough to have a sissy as my son-in-law, my daughter doesn't even want to take my side!"

Claire Wilson cut Elaine Ma a piece of cake and comforted her, “That’s enough, Mom. I’ll get you a bracelet later.”

“Yes! You promised!”

Auction day arrived. Jacob Wilson was already waiting anxiously when Charlie Wade came downstairs.

“Charlie Wade, let’s go, don’t be late!”

The Treasure Pavilion was located in a scenic chateau. The president was a real estate mogul who loved antiques. He had funded $100 million.

Charlie Wade and Jacob Wilson arrived and parked. The surrounding cars were all luxury vehicles. Charlie Wade’s BMW 5 Series stood out amongst the Porsches. Jacob Wilson started walking in.
