Chapter 11

Jamar was super annoyed when he saw Phoebe diss Sienna. He thought she was just asking for trouble on purpose. He was about to say something, but Phoebe looked away as if to say, “I don’t want to deal with you.” Jamar bit back the words he wanted to say and felt even more ticked off. He never realized before how irritating Phoebe could be.

Then Phoebe turned to Sebastian and said, “Sebastian, did you forget to bring bedding? If we try to exchange with the villagers, it’ll be too late. Plus, they might not have extra bedding to spare.” Since the village was up in the mountains, the villagers probably only had enough bedding for themselves, so they wouldn’t have any extra to give them.

So, basically, everyone except Jamar and Sienna was on board with what Phoebe was saying. The whole thing about having to work for bedding seemed completely unrealistic, so they needed to ask the program team for it.

Reece said, “Phoebe’s speaking for all of us,” and he was trying to make peace with Phoebe, but she totally ignored him, and it made Reece super uncomfortable.

Maddox chimed in, too, saying, “Sebastian, our request isn’t too much. Just give everyone a set of bedding.” Then he added, “But no need for Jamar and Sienna. You only need to prepare six sets.”

Jamar was pretty surprised by how annoying Maddox was being, constantly coming after them. Jamar said, “Why not cut us some slack?”

But then Maddox said, “Didn’t you say you could handle it and follow Sebastian’s plan? You talk big, but now you want to team up. Your flip-flopping is impressive.”

Basically, Maddox was totally making fun of Jamar and Sienna for being shameless, and they couldn’t even come back with a good comeback. Jamar just said, “Sebastian, it’s in your hands and the production team’s to decide.”

If they didn’t get the bedding, Jamar was definitely going to disagree. And Sienna couldn’t handle that kind of accommodation, and honestly, Jamar couldn’t either.

Sebastian was relieved that he had agreed to have Jamar and Sienna as special guests. The drama on the first day would make for great TV. He hadn’t planned on not providing bedding for the guests, as he didn’t want to make the guests figure it out and then offer to exchange things or do work in return for bedding, at to be held responsible if anyone got sick. Originally, he had intended… He just hadn’t anticipated the conflict between Phoebe and Sienna. With a smile, he assured them, “Sure, I can provide bedding.”

Then, he added, “But I can’t just give it to you for free. You’ve got to earn it. If we hand out everything for free, it won’t fit the theme.” The guests knew Sebastian was going to make things challenging for them.

Reece asked, “How can we get those comfy beddings?” He thought the production team was so mean. If they hadn’t pulled that stunt, Phoebe and Sienna wouldn’t have had that showdown.

Sebastian said with a grin, “How about this? You guys bring some grub tonight and treat our production crew. Then I’ll hook you up with the beddings.”

Reece pondered for a second and asked, “Should we cook the food or just bring it as is?”

Sebastian replied, “Definitely cooked.”

Maddox was speechless. A disaster in the kitchen like him couldn’t possibly pull this off. “Do we have to cook it ourselves, or can someone else do it for us?” He added, “Too worried that if I cook, you’ll end up in the hospital.”

Sebastian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “In that case, just bring a prepared dish. I mean, you don’t have to cook it yourself. We’ve got pots and pans, and spices in the kitchen, but no ingredients.” He checked his watch and said, “It’s past two in the afternoon. You still have time to hustle and get the ingredients.”

When the guests heard this, they realized that the production team intentionally held back the bedding. Even though no tasks were assigned, the production team was still causing trouble.

“Alright, let’s hustle this afternoon,” one of them said. Since this was a spotlight, no one disagreed.

Sebastian noticed that they were in agreement. Then he said, “There are only four rooms in the house, so two guests will have to share one. Are you guys forming groups on your own, or should we draw straws?”

Chapter 11

Maddox spoke up first and said, “Let’s just form our own groups. I don’t want to room with someone who causes trouble.” He made sure to look at Jamar when he said that.

Jamar shot back, “I don’t know who you’re calling a troublemaker. I definitely don’t want to be rooming with you.”

Maddox responded, “Works for me.”

Sebastian was surprised by the drama. The two top stars were already at odds, making the show a lot more interesting. Those two were the only ones bold enough to pull this off. If it were other top stars, they would have put up with each other even if they couldn’t stand one another during the live broadcast.

Maddox, being both sharp-tongued and genuine, was going to make for an interesting guest. Today’s show was definitely going to trend.

Maddox looked at James and said, “How about we room together?” He wasn’t too keen on Reece and chose James based on a gut feeling.

Naturally, James didn’t refuse and said with a smile, “Sure thing.”

Jamar and Reece knew each other and wanted to live together at first. “Mr. Hill, can we share a room?” Jamar asked.

“Sure,” Reece replied.

On the female guests’ side, Erika asked Sienna, “Sienna, can we stay in the same room?”

Sienna knew Erika had a crush on Jamar and didn’t like her at all. She would never let Erika get close to Jamar. But Sienna would rather stay in the same room with Erika than with Phoebe and Lexie. At least Erika always praised her and was easy to deal with. So she smiled sweetly and said, “Sure.”

On the other hand, Lexie was relieved. She didn’t want to share a room with either of them. One was a snob, and the other was fake. She looked at Phoebe and asked, “Can we share a room?”

Phoebe nodded. “Okay.”

Then came the time to choose a room. Phoebe and Lexie didn’t care which room they stayed in, so they let the others choose first.

Jamar let Sienna and Erika choose first. After some persuasion, they picked a room near the living room.

The male guests offered another room near the living room to Phoebe and Lexie, and they accepted.

Then Maddox quickly chose the one near the yard door, leaving the one next to the kitchen to Jamar and the others. Jamar, who was a bit slow, was not happy about it.
