Chapter 270

This time, Joshua was out, and Cain took his place. Andrea and Jimmy were still part of the lineup, but Quintus had been swapped out for Milinn. As for whether there would be any surprise guests later, Sebastian hadnโ€™t confirmed anything yet. He was probably waiting to see how things played out before making a call.

For this episode, the production team booked flights for everyone and sent them off to Galuwa. Phoebe flew in with Milton, Maddox brought Jimmy, and they were joined by Lexie and James. The six of them traveled together. Meanwhile, Reece, Jumar, and Andrea flew in separately. Cain arrived with Siennaโ€ฆ

Sienna had fully recovered from her injury; there wasnโ€™t even a scar left on her head. At the meeting point in Caluwa, Cain and Sienna were the first to show up, followed by Reece and Jumar. The moment Sienna spotted Reece, she walked over with a bright smile. โ€œReece, youโ€™re here!โ€

However, Reece didnโ€™t even acknowledge her. His expression was cold, and he deliberately put some distance between them, standing as far away from her as possible. Her smile stiffened. The silent rejection stung, making her feel both awkward and frustrated. Since when did he become this rude? Mrs. Hill is useless; she canโ€™t even keep Reece in check anymore.

Trying to shake it off, she turned to Jumar instead. โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you come with us!โ€

Jumar resisted the urge to sigh. โ€œAs if Iโ€™d dare: He wasnโ€™t about to get caught up in whatever mess Sienna and Cain were stirring up.โ€ With a polite smile, he simply said, โ€œI flew in from a different location, so I didnโ€™t get the chance.โ€

Then, without another word, he casually walked over to Reece, using conversation as an excuse to put some space between himself and Sienna. Siennaโ€™s irritation grew. She just couldnโ€™t understand why Jumar was acting like this.

Leaning toward Cain, she whispered, โ€œDo you think Jumarโ€™s still mad at us? Heโ€™s clearly avoiding us. But weโ€™re family; we should stick together.โ€ They needed to get Jumar back on their side. Maybe she could find an opportunity to talk him into sharing some of his luck.

Cain frowned. โ€œHis attitude is getting worse. But he is my brother. No way weโ€™re letting him drift away!โ€ That made Sienna feel a little better. โ€œExactly.โ€

Just then, the rest of the group arrived. When Sienna saw Phoebe and Maddox stepping out of the car, jealousy twisted in her chest. She had tried so hard to get close to Maddox, but no matter what she did, he never even looked her way.

Sienna wasnโ€™t about to give up so easily. She casually trailed behind Phoebe, twirling around a little like she was just enjoying the moment. However, inside, she was seething. Maddox must be blind. Seriously, what kind of taste does he even have?

And the others were no better. Lexie, James, and the rest of them were just a bunch of shameless opportunists, clinging to whoever had the most. But things could change. If she played her cards right and managed to stand out in these last two episodes, these same people would probably be all over her, acting like they had been best friends all along.

As that thought settled in her mind, the livestream kicked off. The cameras turned on, and the atmosphere shifted. Sienna knew exactly what to do. She plastered on a bright, friendly smile and stepped forward, greeting Phoebe and the others like everything was fine.

Pigelse, however, didnโ€™t even acknowledge her. She just kept walking, not sparing her a single glance. There was no need to pretend anymore. They had already burned that bridge, and with this being the last episode, there was no point in faking it.

Maddox, on the other hand, had never even bothered to hide his dislike for her; if anything, it seemed like he went out of his way to avoid her. He ignored her completely, like she didnโ€™t even exist. The others werenโ€™t as blunt, but they werenโ€™t exactly warm either. A few of them mumbled a greeting before quickly turning their attention elsewhere.

Chapter 270

Cim, who had already been in a terrible mood lately, felt his patience snap. Just a few days ago, he had gone to Leon, saying he wanted to buy a talisman from Phoebe. But Leon had straight-up told him that Phoebe refused. She had sold them to his other brothers, no problem. But to him! A flat-out no. That was a deliberate choice.

Cain wouldnโ€™t admit that it stungโ€”wouldnโ€™t acknowledge that it made him feel left out. But deep down, it did. But now, watching Senna try to be friendly only to get completely ignored by Phoebe and Maddox, while Lexie and the others acted all high and mighty, his irritation boiled over.

Without thinking, he strode over and scowled at Phoebe. โ€œSienna was greeting you just nowโ€ฆโ€

Jamar, watching from the sidelines, nearly let out a laugh. Seriously! Cain just never learns, does he? The livestream had just started, and he was already kicking up drama. Honestly, at this rate, he was worse than Joshua. At least Joshua had some sense of self-preservation; Cain, though, was completely reckless.

Jamar had no intention of stopping him. Cain had stolen his talisman, and he hadnโ€™t forgotten. If Cain wanted to dig his own grave, that was on him; Jamar wasnโ€™t about to get in the way. Why should I be the only one suffering, he thought.

Reece, who had been silent this whole time, sighed as he watched Cain charge ahead like an idiot. This guy is seriously screwed. Leon and Joshua sat back, watching the live broadcast like it was the best drama theyโ€™d seen all week.

Joshua cringed, rubbing his face. The secondhand embarrassment was real. He remembered how clueless he had been in the last episode. Seeing Cain now, he realized just how ridiculous he had looked back then.

On screen, Phoebe arched a brow at Cain, her tone cool and unimpressed. โ€œAnd? What exactly are you getting at?โ€ Cain squared his shoulders, dearly not backing down. โ€œSienna greeted you. You could at least acknowledge her.โ€

As if that wasnโ€™t enough, he doubled down. โ€œWhere are your manners?โ€ Phoebeโ€™s cold, aloof attitude rubbed him the wrong way, which was why he didnโ€™t bother sugarcoating his words.

Phoebe let out a short laugh, shaking her head. โ€œI stopped pretending with Sienna a long time ago. Sheโ€™s the one putting on an act now, trying to look all sweet and harmless. Why should I play along?โ€

Cain frowned, clearly not satisfied. Phoebe crossed her arms. โ€œIโ€™m aware weโ€™re all on the same variety show. Do you really think acting like this is a good look?โ€

Maddox scoffed, cutting in. โ€œPheebs has treated Sienna like this from the start. Try to keep up, Cain, and stop acting like this is brand new.โ€ He was honestly stunned at how thick Cain could be. It was obvious to anyone with common sense that Sienna was faking it, playing nice so she could turn around and act like the victim when suited.

Sienna reached for Cainโ€™s sleeve, tugging lightly. โ€œCain, just let it go.โ€ Her voice was soft, almost pitiful, just enough to make Cain dig his heels in further. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Predictably, Cainโ€™s face darkened. โ€œPhoebe, donโ€™t take things too far. Youโ€™ve already taken everything from Sienna at home, and nowโ€ฆโ€ Why are you punishing her forโ€ฆ? His frustration spilled over. โ€œMom and Dad were the ones who adopted Sienna. Why are youโ€ฆ?โ€

He was worked up now, his voice sharp. This show was supposed to be Siennaโ€™s. She had to rely on Jumar just to get a spot. And after everything that happened in the last two episodes, she got dragged through the mud online and ended up in the hospital. Havenโ€™t you done enough?

He was letting out all his built-up frustration. It wasnโ€™t just about Sienna; he felt like Phoebe had treated him unfairly too. Jamarโ€™s expression twisted. Cain is actually saying all this on a live broadcast? Is he insane?

Leon and Joshua exchanged a glance, wondering whether Cain was trying to start a war on national television, because it sure seemed like he was going out of his way to make things worse.

Meanwhile, Phoebe didnโ€™t look the slightest bit upset. If anything, she looked amused, the corner of her mouth twitching up in a smirk. She had been waiting for Cain to pick a fight. There was still something big she hadnโ€™t brought up yet, and with this being the last episode, she wasnโ€™t about to waste the perfect chance to drop it live. Now, Cain had practically handed it to her on a silver platter.
