Gwen naturally wanted to return the favor. “So how am I supposed to clear my name? I don’t have any evidence.”

Phoebe replied, “I looked into the incident where you were framed. Originally, you discovered that your boyfriend was cheating with another girl, leading you to break up and try to expose them. You went public, claiming you were together, but the guy was unfaithful, and the girl was a mistress. But then those two released photos proving they were the real couple and had been together for almost two years.”

Phoebe continued, “You wanted to insert yourself into their relationship, but the guy refused. Then you kept pursuing him, pressuring and threatening his girlfriend. Ultimately, it was their agent who noticed and helped them escape your harassment.”

Phoebe paused, then went on, “In a fit of anger, you tried to ruin him and smear his girlfriend’s name. So he had no choice but to step forward and reveal the truth to defend her.”

Gwen nodded. “Exactly. I was the one who was falsely accused, and it turned out I was the interloper.”

Phoebe looked at her and asked, “You and that jerk must have taken pictures together, gone out to eat, and done things like that, right? You didn’t use those against them, did you? Those pieces of evidence are gone, aren’t they!”

Gwen wasn’t naive enough to think she wouldn’t retaliate against the jerk. It could only mean one thing: they had prepared in advance and set her up.

Gwen paused, surprised that Phoebe could guess this. “Yes, I had selfies and travel photos stored on my laptop and email from our time together. But he secretly deleted all those photos and videos behind my back. He had lied to me before, claiming that woman was his cousin. I even had a document detailing how I helped him secure resources with that woman since we met, but he deleted that too.”

Her eyes filled with hatred. “They manipulated me into discovering their affair, making it look like I was the mistress when I caused a scene. When I wanted to fight back, not only had he deleted everything from my laptop and email, but even the places we visited that had surveillance footage were wiped out with the agent’s help.”

Gwen added, “I couldn’t produce any evidence, and my agent wouldn’t dare cross Leon, so she betrayed me. She claimed I was indeed still pursuing that jerk, and I got blacklisted.”

After listening to her, Phoebe nodded. “That aligns with my assumptions. Your laptop and email are still intact, right?”

Gwen nodded. “Yes, they are.” Phoebe said, “Then give me your laptop and email account information. I’ll recover the deleted photos and videos.”

If it was deleted, it could be recovered by hacking.

Gwen hesitated for a moment before sighing. “I took my laptop to a data recovery specialist before, but that jerk had shredded the files and used permanent deletion. They managed to recover some, but it wasn’t possible to restore everything.”

Phoebe replied, “That was just their lack of skills. I can recover this. Find time to bring the laptop to me in the next couple of days.”

Gwen hadn’t expected Phoebe to have such skills, and the others were equally surprised. Although they felt the chances of successful recovery were slim, she still wanted to believe in Phoebe. “Okay!”

Phoebe asked again, “Do you remember the places you went to that had surveillance cameras?”

Gwen responded, “After I was framed, I did think about looking for surveillance evidence. So I wrote down the times and locations that stood out. However, when I went, I was told that their previous surveillance records had been cleared.”

Phoebe knew this was a habitual tactic of Leon’s, aiming to prevent any future problems. “Send me the times and places. I’ll help you find evidence to clear your name.”

Gwen felt that Phoebe genuinely wanted to help clear her name. She was certain she wouldn’t hold back. “Okay.”

Phoebe continued, “Once we find the evidence, I’ll arrange for you to appear on a variety show first. When everyone comes to criticize you and brings up those past incidents, we’ll release the evidence to turn things around.”

Gwen understood that being on a variety show would yield quick results and generate significant buzz. She nodded, “Great, thank you for your help.”

Phoebe smiled. “You’re welcome. If all three of you decide to switch to the studio, I’ll personally take care of you.”

Quintus, who was quiet, asked in surprise, “Are you saying you’ll act as our agent part-time!”

They knew some stars operated without agents, managing their own careers. However, they hadn’t heard of any established stars who took on the role of agent for other stars.

Gwen and Milton exchanged astonished glances at Phoebe.

Phoebe replied with a grin. “Yes, I’ll be your part-time agent. Don’t worry. Even though I have my own work, I’ll definitely assist in planning your career paths according to your goals. I’ll also collaborate with Ms. Hill to secure resources for you.”

She added, “Of course, I’ll hire three assistant agents to help you with your work and personal affairs. If you have any candidates in mind, feel free to suggest them.”

Hearing this, the three of them had no objections. It was clear that she genuinely wanted to recruit them.

Milton looked at Phoebe and asked, “Can I ask what you plan for me and Quintus if we switch to the studio?”

Phoebe’s arrangements for Gwen sounded impressive, so Milton was curious about what she had in store for them.

Quintus nodded. “Yeah. I’d like to know too.”

Phoebe had already thought it through. Looking at Milton, she said, “I’ll secure you a role as the second male lead in a drama. Once it’s filmed and aired, you’ll follow up with a variety show to solidify your popularity.”

She knew of a high-quality drama that was still in the filming stages. Recently, the second male lead made headlines for a drunk-driving incident, and the director didn’t want to work with such a problematic star. The director did not want to use such a lousy artiste. However, the second male lead’s father was the largest investor in the drama, so he withdrew funding. This left the production unable to continue filming. The director was still searching for investors, but most were skeptical about this type of drama, and the funding gap was substantial, so no one had invested yet. Previously, the director had wanted to cast a rising star from Leon’s roster for the third female lead, but she had turned it down. Phoebe hadn’t participated in any variety shows.

Leon had given Phoebe the script sent by the director, asking if she was interested. After reading it, Phoebe thought it was a great script and liked the character. She believed it would turn out well. She had intended to ask Leon to secure the role for her. However, the director couldn’t find the funds, and filming was put on hold, leaving no further updates. Phoebe had great confidence in this drama, so she planned to invest in it. She aimed to get Milton to play the second male lead while she took on the role of the third female lead.

Milton’s appearance and temperament matched well with the male lead’s character. Both roles were quite likable, and if the drama became a hit, their gains would undoubtedly be substantial. This would also give them an opportunity to compete with the drama Cain was filming.
