Chapter 516 Digging the Pit

Owen sighed. โ€œDadโ€™s side of the family is fine, but theyโ€™re all like Mr. Carl โ€“ always praising Yunice and putting me down.โ€

Elsie said, โ€œThatโ€™s because theyโ€™re jealous of you. Theyโ€™re afraid that once you take control of the hospital, youโ€™ll stop feeding them.โ€

Owen didnโ€™t want to talk about the Saunders family anymore.

Elsie added, โ€œOur money is our money. We canโ€™t give it to the Saunders family, but we also canโ€™t give it to Mr. Terrance. Before selling the hospital, we need to find a way to kick all of them out.โ€

Owen glanced at her. Truth be told, heโ€™d been thinking the same thing. โ€œBut how?โ€

Would the old man really cough up the fat meat heโ€™s been chewing on?

Elsie said, โ€œSame as before. Dig them a hole. Set them up for embezzlement and get them locked up.โ€

Owen hesitated. He had done the same thing before to some of the Saunders family members to solidify his position. Now heโ€™d be doing it again to the Moore familyโ€ฆ

But when he thought about Mr. Terrance and his antics โ€“ if he didnโ€™t act first, that old man would definitely sabotage everything.

Owen nodded. โ€œWeโ€™ll do it your way.โ€

Elsie left the room and brushed past Peggy on her way out of the Saunders house.

She had eavesdropped on the conversation between Owen and Mr. Terrance just now, and the part about Morganโ€™s sister had piqued her interest. She had to find a way to pry something out of Morgan.

On Yuniceโ€™s side, she had just dropped Gill off at the deli shop.

The deli was right next to her small clinic. But with everything going on lately, she hadnโ€™t been by the store in quite a while.

โ€œThese are for you. I checked carefully โ€“ none of them are scratched.โ€

Yunice turned her head and saw that Gill had removed all the jewelry Yunice had given her, wrapped it in a handkerchief, and was holding it out.

Gill said, โ€œI can take the clothes off and wash them before returning them to you.โ€

Yunice looked up. โ€œAre you really going to treat me like a stranger?โ€

Gill said seriously, โ€œBut these things are so expensiveโ€ฆโ€

Yunice replied. โ€œNo matter how expensive, theyโ€™re meant to be used. I gave them to you โ€“ so take them.โ€

โ€œPavilion Hall isnโ€™t my turf. I canโ€™t bring you with me. The only things I can give you are these material items.โ€

If Yunice took Gill with her, Gill would only become her accessory โ€“ always revolving around her.

But Yunice understood clearly that she had no fixed goals. She was like the wind, never knowing where sheโ€™d land next. She didnโ€™t want to delay Gillโ€™s future.

Gill should have her own goals, her own world.

Yunice looked at Gillโ€™s deli โ€“ business was booming. Sheโ€™d even added two more food trucks and hired two employees.

Yunice said, โ€œI think you can open a franchise. While I still have people backing me, nowโ€™s the time to grow the business.โ€

Gill looked confused. โ€œI donโ€™t have such big ambitionsโ€ฆโ€

Yunice turned to look at her. โ€œThatโ€™s called building wealth. Donโ€™t think of it as working for yourself โ€“ think of it as working for the two of us. If Wyatt ever dumps me, youโ€™ll be my emergency food supply, got it?โ€

Gill stared, dumbfounded. After several seconds, she grabbed onto the side of Yuniceโ€™s scooter and said, โ€œDamn, you really think aheadโ€ฆโ€

Yunice pushed the handkerchief-wrapped jewelry back into her hands. โ€œIโ€™ll teach you how to manage the chain stores. Just go for it. At least for now, we can afford to lose.โ€

If she and Wyatt fell out, they might never get this kind of opportunity again.

Gill nodded hard. โ€œAlright!โ€

As Yunice watched Gill get out of the car, her heart felt hollow.

Sheโ€™d brought Gill back to the Saunders family today on purpose โ€“ to accelerate its collapse. It wouldnโ€™t be long before Cloud Hospital was hers again.

But after taking down the Saunders familyโ€ฆ then what?

What was she supposed to do?

She didnโ€™t know. She couldnโ€™t see that far ahead. So she just took what opportunities she could, whenever they came.

At that moment, Elsie was tangled up with Morgan again.

They had just finished going at it, and Morgan got out of bed without even glancing at the arm Elsie had scratched and was now bleeding.

โ€œDonโ€™t talk to me about your issues with Yunice,โ€ Morgan said as he drank water. โ€œYou and I are having a secret fling โ€“ nothing public. Donโ€™t expect me to back you up.โ€

Elsie sat behind him, twirling her hair flirtatiously. โ€œBut I heard your brother-in-law is Wyatt. And Wyatt dotes on you. He gives you whatever you want. So if you went to him in your sisterโ€™s name and asked him to teach Yunice a lesson, wouldnโ€™t he be willing?โ€

Morgan paused mid-sip. Elsie noticed the hesitation and smiled secretly.

Got him.

Morgan was just like Owen and Paul โ€“ overconfident, thin-skinned, and incredibly easy to manipulate. Just say a few strategic things and theyโ€™d blow up and expose themselves.

Judging by Morganโ€™s reaction, it looked like sheโ€™d guessed right.
