Listen to this chapter:

Benjamin opened his phone to see Nathan's new post: a photo of Yorhine University's sports stadium. The photo showed no one, but two shadows on the groundโ€”one delicate and beautiful, the other well-built and handsome. Benjamin instantly recognized them as Celine and Nathan.

Nathan's caption read, "Best birthday present ever."

Many comments followed:

"Happy birthday, Mr. Lynch! Why not do something exciting instead?" "Why are you guys taking up space at the school? Mr. Lynch, the hotel's luxury suite awaits." "What do you guys know? Mr. Lynch's staying in the girls' hostel tonight!" "Having a girlfriend who's also a student is exciting."

Adam's throat constricted as he read the comments. He remembered Celine's hostel room and the peach-colored bed where he had slept with her just days before. Would Nathan be sleeping there tonight?

He felt a surge of anger. Nathan and he were the leading figures in Mercity, yet she had been intimate with both of them. Celine was truly skilled at this.

Leo entered, noticing Adam's foul mood. He cautiously asked, "Mr. Alvarez, is your unhappiness related to Mrs. Alvarez and Mr. Lynch?"

Adam tugged at his shirt button, remaining silent.

Leo continued, "Mr. Alvarez, you needn't feel bad. You've always preferred Ms. Carly; Mrs. Alvarez's dating life shouldn't concern you. Besides, you previously supported Mr. Lynch's pursuit of Mrs. Alvarez."

"So, why the unhappiness now that they're together?" Leo's voice trailed off as Adam's eyes flicked up.

Leo quickly set down his documents. "Mr. Alvarez, I'll excuse myself," he said, hurrying out.

Adam looked furious. Silence filled the CEO's office. He picked up some documents, then slammed them down. Grabbing his car keys, he stormed out.

Meanwhile, Nathan and Celine strolled around the sports stadium.

Celine curiously asked, "Mr. Lynch, how did you know I didn't write that love letter?"

Nathan smiled. "Because I know you'd never write me a love letter."

Spending time with Nathan felt natural and freeing to Celine. She smiled.

Her phone buzzed. A message from the contact labeled "Husband" (marked with a red label) was the first she'd received from Adam during their entire marriage. His message was short and demanding: "Come out."

Celine replied, "Coming."

She shivered, seeing a Rolls-Royce Phantom outside the school gateโ€”Adam's car. He had driven there unexpectedly. The black car, subtly luxurious, sat under a lamppost like a nighttime king, attracting the curious gazes of students. While expensive cars weren't uncommon at the university, a Rolls-Royce still generated considerable interest.
