Nikki, observing two female employees, glanced toward the Alvarez Group. Her acting background made her immediately aware that Universal Entertainment was a subsidiary of this powerful entertainment conglomerate. They possessed resources and connections few could match—all owned by Adam. This realization sparked excitement in Nikki's eyes.

Adam stormed into the CEO's office, slamming a document onto the desk. He checked WhatsApp, frustrated that Celine hadn't responded to his message. Just then, Leo entered and quietly reported, "Mr. Alvarez, Mrs. Alvarez is not at school. She's at the hospital with Mr. Lynch."

Celine's recent whereabouts were known: she'd visited the hospital that morning to care for Nathan. A melodious ringtone announced a call. It was Lucy.

"Hello, Mr. Alvarez. Emergency at Tate Manor. Carly's having chest pains."

Adam frowned. After their previous hospital encounter, he'd chosen to ignore Carly, a tactic that had surprisingly increased her compliance. He replied, "I'll be right there."

In the hospital's VIP ward, Nathan, in a hospital gown, enjoyed an apple Celine had peeled for him. Celine reviewed his chart. "You're nearly recovered, Mr. Lynch. You can be discharged tomorrow."

Nathan smiled. "With your daily care, it's no surprise."

Celine turned to him. "You were hurt because of me. I'm grateful."

Nathan pulled her onto the edge of his bed. "Celine, we should talk about more than gratitude—like how our fake relationship has become real love…"

She hesitated. "Mr. Lynch, you were injured protecting me. If you want to date me, then I—"

"Stop!" Nathan interrupted, adding helplessly, "Just pretend I didn't say anything." He wanted to date her but didn't want to pressure her; he didn't want her to feel obligated.

Celine smiled and placed the report in the drawer. Nathan abruptly asked, "Celine, do you still have feelings for Adam?"

She paused, closing the drawer. "What?"

Her response told Nathan what he needed to know. "I know Adam well. He'll never break up with Carly."

She nodded. "I know."

A cheerful ringtone—it was Tracy. Celine answered, happily saying, "Celine, come back to Tate Manor. Dinner tonight."

Celine was about to decline, but Tracy continued, "I'm bringing Dr. C for dinner, and you must join us."

Amusement changed Celine's mind. "Alright. I'll be there on time."
