Listen to this chapter:

Nikki eagerly shared her joy with Celine, but Celine remained distant and silent. Gently placing her hand on her belly, Nikki asked, "Celine, are you jealous of me? Some women experience birth control pill failures due to allergies. Meanwhile, I'm blessed to be pregnant and experience unconditional love. It's incredible how unique our destinies are."

Hailey and Robin wanted to retort, but Celine calmly interrupted, "Let's go." She left, followed by Hailey and Robin. "Celine, why did you stop us from scolding her?" they asked. Celine smirked, mocking herself, "Why scold her? She's speaking the truth." Celine had taken birth control pills but fainted from an allergic reaction, while Nikki's pregnancy propelled her to stardom. Adam's preferences were glaringly obvious; Nikki knew how to hurt Celine, causing her significant emotional pain.

As Celine and her friends waited by the elevator, a group approached, led by the strikingly handsome and distinguished Adam. He escorted Leo and others to the Atlas Hotel, where the manager greeted them and ushered them toward the VIP elevator, saying, "Mr. Alvarez, let's use the VIP elevator."

Adam's appearance at Nikki's birthday celebration was unsurprising, given Nikki's pregnancy. In the VIP elevator, Adam gazed at Celine and said, "Come in," inviting them to join him. The hotel manager welcomed them: "Please come in."

Celine hesitated. She didn't understand Adam's apology the previous night and couldn't forgive him. She didn't want to share the elevator, and certainly hadn't expected to see him. However, Hailey and Robin pulled her into the VIP elevator.

Speechless, Celine glanced at Adam. He wore a custom black suit and seemed aloof. After a brief glance, he ignored her, and they acted like strangers. Then, the hotel manager asked, "Mr. Alvarez, what happened to your Adam's apple? Did something bite you?" He noticed a small tooth mark. All eyes turned to Adam. "Mr. Alvarez, it appears you've been bitten."

Celine tried to remain inconspicuous, but the mark sent a shiver down her spine, straightening her slender figure. Adam calmly replied in a low, magnetic voice, "Yes, I was bitten by a puppy."

"Puppy?"

With a mischievous laugh, he said, "I have a puppy. It's quite the troublemaker and always nips at me."

"Do you really have a puppy? It's lucky to be raised by someone like you." Envy filled the air. Celine was speechless. The elevator arrived, and she immediately stepped out.
