Carly looked up and saw Celine. "Celine is here!" Carly's smile widened. She had been waiting for Celine, and Celine had finally arrived.
Celine walked to Hailey. Hailey said angrily, "Celine, these people are disgusting! They keep twisting the truth."
"I know, Hailey," Celine said reassuringly, urging her to be patient.
Carly smiled. "Celine, you came at just the right time. Your friend Hailey just said Mr. Shaw likes her. Do you believe that? As humans, we should all recognize our limitations. So, do you think Hailey is ugly?" Carly was trying to trap Celine.
Celine raised an eyebrow, her gaze fixed on Carly. "Of course, Hailey isn't ugly. On the contrary, she's a great beauty."
Carly, Ewan, and Melody laughed. Melody laughed so hard she doubled over.
"Celine, you're saying Hailey's a great beauty?" Carly felt Celine had fallen into her trap. "Celine, you must be in cahoots with Hailey!"
Ewan looked at Hailey. She was obviously unattractive, but her eyes were clear and bright—the prettiest he'd ever seen.
The students laughed. "Celine, you're ruining the meaning of the word 'beauty!'"
"Celine, we know you're friends with Hailey, but you can't lie like this!"
Carly was supremely satisfied, watching Celine and Hailey become the targets of the students. However, Celine remained calm. She winked at Hailey. "Hailey, since we're here, you should tell everyonethe birthmark on your face is fake!"
Hailey was stunned. Everyone was taken aback. A fake birthmark?
Confused, Hailey tugged Celine's sleeve. "Celine, it's real!"
Carly stepped forward, disbelieving. "Celine, if Hailey's birthmark is fake, prove it!"
Ewan and Melody also came forward. Ewan said firmly, "I've known Hailey a long time. She was born with that birthmark. It's impossible for it to be fake. She's an ugly woman."
Celine looked at Ewan, her gaze cold and sharp. "Are you scared, Mr. Shaw?"
Ewan was startled. "Scared of what?"
"You're scared Hailey will suddenly become the type of woman you like. You're scared you'll regret everything!"
Ewan snorted coldly. "I won't regret anything!"
"Alright. You said it yourself. I hope you don't eat your words." Celine took out makeup remover wipes. "Hailey, stand still. I'll remove your birthmark."
Hailey looked at Celine anxiously. "Celine!"
Celine calmly stepped forward, gently rubbing at the birthmark. "This birthmark has followed you for years, but we don't need it anymore. Our Hailey is going to be a great beauty!"
Melody didn't believe the birthmark was fake, but she was paralyzed as she watched it slowly disappear, revealing Hailey's creamy skin. Several people gasped. The birthmark was removed, revealing Hailey's beautiful face. Her beauty, cultivated by one of the city's wealthiest families, was both delicate and brilliant. A beauty mark was even revealed near her right eye.
She was breathtaking.
