Chapter 322

Afterward, everyone returned to their rooms. Celine unpacked her luggage and checked her phone. She saw an add request from Adam on WhatsApp. They were divorced, and he was with Carly. Unwilling to re-engage with him, she ignored the request.

Leaving her room, she saw Randall exiting the one across the hall. He smiled. "Celine, I'm staying across from you. Let me know if you need anything."

"Okay," she replied, smiling back.

Celine, Randall, and their supervisors walked out of the hotel. Before them stretched the vast, endless sea of Marland.

Suddenly, Randall said, "Celine, it's snowing."

Celine looked up; snowflakes fell heavily. It was snowing.

The streets were nearly deserted, snowflakes filling the air and quickly blanketing the ground in white. The roaring waves crashed relentlessly against the shore, where blue met white in a breathtaking scene.

Wrapped tightly in a long white down coat, Celine walked forward, battling the fierce cold wind. Her delicate nose was bright red, and the skin around her eyes was flushed.

She watched the snow in Marland. Just as her father had said, it was beautiful and cold.

"Oh my gosh, it's beautiful here!" one of the supervisors exclaimed.

The others joyfully ran off, exploring the snowy scene.

Tears welled in Celine's eyes. Walking toward the shore, she cupped her hands and called out into the wind, "Dad, I'm here for the Marland trip you missed!"

Waves crashed against the pier, echoing across the shore. Perhaps this was her father's way of responding.

At that moment, Celine felt at peace. Since her father's passing, she'd felt unloved, but now she could finally let go.

Randall watched Celine from behind. To him, no snow scene compared to her beauty.

One of the supervisors reminded him, "What are you waiting for? Go to Celine! You're supposed to watch the snow with the one you love most in winter."

Randall considered approaching her, then paused, as if remembering something. "I'll be right back," he said, running back to the hotel.

Celine held out her hand, letting snowflakes gather in her palm. A genuine sense of happiness warmed her heart.

Suddenly, a black umbrella appeared above her. Someone was shielding her from the snow.

Celine turned, smiling. "Randallโ€”"

Her words caught in her throat. It wasn't Randall. It was Adam.

He stood before her, wearing a black wool coat and gray turtleneck sweater. His tall, refined figure stood out against the snowy backdrop, as if he'd stepped from a painting.

Celine froze, staring at him. She didn't know how he'd arrived. He wasn't supposed to be on this trip, but he'd changed his plans.

At this romantic moment, he stood beside her.

Adam's gaze lingered on her pale, frost-kissed face. The redness of her nose and the shimmer in her eyes made her appear delicate and vulnerable. Holding the umbrella over her, he smiled slightly. "Aren't your hands cold from playing in the snow?" he asked.
