Celine smiled sarcastically at Carly's suspicion. "Carly, letting your imagination run wild is a problem. This is a hospital; you should get that checked."
Carly retorted, "Celine, I can't help but think it's more than just coincidence that we keep running into each other. You must still have feelings for Adam, trailing us wherever we go!"
Tracy interjected, "You and Mr. Alvarez are divorced. He doesn't want you anymore, so stop following him!"
Lucy, surprised to learn Celine was a genius, chuckled. "Celine, I didn't expect you to be a genius girl. But you didn't pursue a career after graduation; instead, you married Mr. Alvarez and became a housewife. Now that he's divorced you, it seems like you feel lost. Instead of fixating on Mr. Alvarez and Carly, it's time to focus on yourself and find a job. Financial independence is important for a woman."
Celine was speechless. Just then, her new car arrived. "Everyone, I'm simply waiting for my car. I won't be able to chat any longer. I'm leaving."
Carly laughed. "Waiting for a car? A taxi? It's hard to hail a taxi outside the hospital." (Carly's assumption was based on Celine's history of using taxis.)
Tracy glared at Celine. "Celine, I truly look down on you. Other geniuses own homes and cars and are thriving. Yet, you're still relying on taxis! You're bringing down the reputation of 'genius girl'!"
Lucy quickly stopped Tracy. "Forget it. That's enough. Celine's actually quite pitiful."
Celine, seeing her car arrive and the driver approaching, moved past Tracy and Lucy, positioning herself in front of Carly. With a mischievous wink, she exclaimed, "Carly, you were absolutely right. It is incredibly hard to hail a taxi around here."
Carly looked proud.
Celine turned to Adam in the Rolls-Royce. "Mr. Alvarez, would you give me a ride?"
Carly's face paled. "No way!"
Celine stared at Carly. "If that's the case, what are you going on about?"
Carly felt defeated.
Adam glanced at Celine. Two days since their last conversation, her long, silky hair framed her stunning face. He remarked, "It is difficult to get a taxi around here. You"
Before he finished, the driver approached Celine. "Hello, Ms. Tate, I've picked up your new car. I test-drove it; it performs wonderfully. It's ready."
Celine nodded. "Right. Thank you." The driver left.
Carly was stunned. "New car? Celine, did you buy a car?"
Tracy and Lucy were skeptical, questioning when she'd bought it.
Celine retrieved her car keys, the keychain making a "ding" sound. Carly, Lucy, and Tracy were astonished to see a Rolls-Royce parked nearbyโa Wraith Luminary Collection model, designed for women, similar to Adam's.
Tracy exclaimed, "Celine, did you really buy a Rolls-Royce? How did you afford it?" They were shocked. Celine smirked.
With that, Celine hopped into her car, accelerated, and elegantly sped away.
Adam watched Celine drive away, her hair flowing in the wind. She looked stunning. He felt a sense of familiarity, recognizing a resemblance to a remarkable woman he'd briefly met in Laplandโthe founder of Alpine Pharma.
