Tracy lost control when she saw the fake Dr. C. He had cheated her out of her virginity and her money. She'd lost a great deal. Rushing forward, she began hitting him. “You liar! You big liar! Give me my money back! Give us our money back!”
The fake Dr. C's face was already swollen and bruised, evidence that Celine's men had already beaten him. He didn't look at Tracy, but stared at Celine, exclaiming shakily, “You… you aren’t human! It’s too scary!”
Carly looked at him. “What are you saying? Why are you scared of Celine? She’s just a useless housewife!” Lucy quickly asked, “Celine, how did you find the fake Dr. C?”
Celine smiled brightly. “That’s my secret. Now, I want my father’s ashes back!”
Sonia blocked Celine's path. “Celine, you can’t…”
Celine glared at Sonia. “Why, Mrs. Tate Senior, are you going back on your word? If you do, I won’t hand over the fake Dr. C, and you won’t get a penny back!”
Sonia hesitated. “Celine, I won’t go back on my word. It’s just… today isn’t an auspicious day. Let’s find a more auspicious date to transfer your father’s ashes.”
Celine looked at Sonia. “Mrs. Tate Senior, I’m here to bring my father home. Any day is auspicious for us.” She stepped around Sonia and strode toward the Tate Manor.
The manor was still sealed with white plastic tape. Celine tore it off and pushed open the door. With a creak, it swung inward, and she entered.
She went to the Tate family’s private graveyard. Many memorials stood there, belonging to Tate ancestors. She quickly found Aaron's memorial tucked away in a corner, covered in dust and partially obscured by a cleaning rag.
A chill went through Celine. She couldn't understand the Tate family's treatment of Aaron. Why?
She took Aaron’s memorial, wiping the dust from it as tears filled her eyes. She whispered, “Dad, I’m here to bring you home.”
Aaron's ashes were behind the memorial. Celine gathered them, picked up the memorial, and strode out of the house.
Sonia watched her. “Celine, where are you taking Aaron’s ashes?”
Celine replied, “As long as it’s away from the Tate family, anywhere can be home to him.” She left without looking back.
After Celine left, Lucy approached Sonia. “Now that you’ve let Celine take Aaron’s ashes, what if she discovers the true cause of his death? What then?”
Hayden and Wayne arrived. They clearly knew the Tate family's darkest secret. Hayden worried, “Mom, if Celine finds out, she won’t let it go.”
“She’s different now. The extent of her abilities is unknown. If she seeks revenge, it’ll be trouble.”
Sonia’s sharp voice cut through them. “What are you afraid of? They’re just ashes. Can Celine detect poison in ashes? You overestimate her. Aaron died years ago from poison.”
Hayden, Wayne, and Lucy felt relieved. From their perspective, Celine couldn't detect poison in the ashes.
Sonia’s eyes were cruel. “He’s dead. He can’t blame us for being cruel; he owed us. He wasn’t even a Tate, just a street child I took in. I raised him, so he should repay the Tate family!”
“Furthermore, I didn’t plan his death. But when he learned about Celine’s heritage, he planned to take her to Kinthorne!”
