Tracy lost control when she saw the fake Dr. C. He had cheated her out of her virginity and her money. She'd lost a great deal. Rushing forward, she began hitting him. โYou liar! You big liar! Give me my money back! Give us our money back!โ
The fake Dr. C's face was already swollen and bruised, evidence that Celine's men had already beaten him. He didn't look at Tracy, but stared at Celine, exclaiming shakily, โYouโฆ you arenโt human! Itโs too scary!โ
Carly looked at him. โWhat are you saying? Why are you scared of Celine? Sheโs just a useless housewife!โ Lucy quickly asked, โCeline, how did you find the fake Dr. C?โ
Celine smiled brightly. โThatโs my secret. Now, I want my fatherโs ashes back!โ
Sonia blocked Celine's path. โCeline, you canโtโฆโ
Celine glared at Sonia. โWhy, Mrs. Tate Senior, are you going back on your word? If you do, I wonโt hand over the fake Dr. C, and you wonโt get a penny back!โ
Sonia hesitated. โCeline, I wonโt go back on my word. Itโs justโฆ today isnโt an auspicious day. Letโs find a more auspicious date to transfer your fatherโs ashes.โ
Celine looked at Sonia. โMrs. Tate Senior, Iโm here to bring my father home. Any day is auspicious for us.โ She stepped around Sonia and strode toward the Tate Manor.
The manor was still sealed with white plastic tape. Celine tore it off and pushed open the door. With a creak, it swung inward, and she entered.
She went to the Tate familyโs private graveyard. Many memorials stood there, belonging to Tate ancestors. She quickly found Aaron's memorial tucked away in a corner, covered in dust and partially obscured by a cleaning rag.
A chill went through Celine. She couldn't understand the Tate family's treatment of Aaron. Why?
She took Aaronโs memorial, wiping the dust from it as tears filled her eyes. She whispered, โDad, Iโm here to bring you home.โ
Aaron's ashes were behind the memorial. Celine gathered them, picked up the memorial, and strode out of the house.
Sonia watched her. โCeline, where are you taking Aaronโs ashes?โ
Celine replied, โAs long as itโs away from the Tate family, anywhere can be home to him.โ She left without looking back.
After Celine left, Lucy approached Sonia. โNow that youโve let Celine take Aaronโs ashes, what if she discovers the true cause of his death? What then?โ
Hayden and Wayne arrived. They clearly knew the Tate family's darkest secret. Hayden worried, โMom, if Celine finds out, she wonโt let it go.โ
โSheโs different now. The extent of her abilities is unknown. If she seeks revenge, itโll be trouble.โ
Soniaโs sharp voice cut through them. โWhat are you afraid of? Theyโre just ashes. Can Celine detect poison in ashes? You overestimate her. Aaron died years ago from poison.โ
Hayden, Wayne, and Lucy felt relieved. From their perspective, Celine couldn't detect poison in the ashes.
Soniaโs eyes were cruel. โHeโs dead. He canโt blame us for being cruel; he owed us. He wasnโt even a Tate, just a street child I took in. I raised him, so he should repay the Tate family!โ
โFurthermore, I didnโt plan his death. But when he learned about Celineโs heritage, he planned to take her to Kinthorne!โ
