Celine and Perry entered the building, but Adam remained rooted to the spot. He hadn't expected to see Perry there.

"So it was Mr. Marshall after all," Leo said. "Ms. Celine came to Alpite Pharma to meet Mr. Marshall, and those are all Mr. Marshall's men. I misunderstood everything; I thought Ms. Celine held a high position here."

Adam, too, had felt close to the truth, but Perry's appearance had thrown them off.

"Mr. Alvarez," Leo continued, "Mr. Marshall's ingenuity must be why they captured the fake Dr. C so quickly. Ms. Celine always wanted to retrieve her father's ashes, so she collaborated with Mr. Marshall to force the Tate family to seek her help."

"Now everything makes sense," Leo said. "We've been overthinking this."

Adam looked in the direction Celine had disappeared. Was that really what happened? Perhaps.

Just then, his phone rang. He answered to hear Locy's panicked voice. "Mr. Alvarez, something's wrong! Carly experienced chest discomfort and suddenly collapsed. She's been rushed to the hospital."

Adam hung up and immediately left.

Meanwhile, Celine and Perry entered the research laboratory. Celine pulled her long, black hair into a low ponytail before putting on a white coat. "Now, I'm going to start running tests on my father's ashes," she announced.

Perry asked, "Celine, you've always suspected foul play in your father's death. Do you suspect the Tate family?"

Celine nodded. "Yes."

"But your father was a member of the Tate family," Perry said. "Even animals care for their young. How could they be so cruel?"

Celine pondered. "Perry, remember the information we gathered? Years ago, Mrs. Tate Senior, after three years of marriage, was still unable to conceive. She tried everything, even traditional medicine, before finally having my father."

Perry nodded. "Of course. So?"

Celine said, "I suspect my father wasn't a Tate; he was adopted."

Perry found the hypothesis plausible. "Why didn't I think of that?"

Celine held Aaron's ashes. "However, this is still a hypothesis. The tests will reveal the truth."

Perry nodded. "Then begin, Celine."

Celine began her tests, working from morning until late at night. Two reports finally lay on the desk.

"Celine, what are the results?" Perry asked.

"My hypothesis was correct," Celine replied. "The cause of death was poison. Someone fatally poisoned him! I also ran a DNA test; there's no genetic relationship between my father and the Tate family. This confirms he was adopted."

With the truth revealed, Perry said, "So your father was adopted. Yet, after adopting him, Mrs. Tate Senior gave birth to Hayden and Wayne. Fate was unkind to your father. Who do you suspect of poisoning him?"

Celine's gaze was sharp and cold as she held her father's ashes, feeling their chilling coldness. She couldn't imagine Aaron's suffering. To be fatally poisoned by his own familyโ€”the physical pain paled in comparison to the mental anguish.

"I suspect it wasn't done alone," she said. "Today, I observed the Tate family. Mrs. Tate Senior, Hayden, Lucy, Wayne, and Hazel all looked guilty, as if hiding a dark secret. I suspect they conspired to poison my father."

Perry shook his head. "Those people are psychopaths. Their actions are inhumane. Celine, what are your plans?"

Celine looked at Aaron's memorial, her eyes filled with murderous intent. "Since they murdered my father, I will have my revenge. I will repay them a thousandfold for his pain and suffering. They will return everything they took from him!"
