Listen to this chapter:

If Zane was telling the truth, the person behind Brotherhood had to be Steve. Matthew demanded, "Where's Steve from? Where is he right now?"

Zane shook his head. "I have no idea. I met him ten years ago, but he hasn't shown up since. We only contact each other through email or message."

Matthew fixed his scrutinizing gaze on Zane, trying to determine if he was lying. Whatever Zane said seemed worthless; Matthew felt deluded.

Standing aside, Alex kicked Zane to the floor again. "You fool, do you have a death wish? Where the hell is Steve? How do we find him? Tell us something useful!"

Zane picked himself up, his face contorted in pain. "I'm telling the truth. If I angered you with lies, I probably wouldn't survive long. I know what's more important: my life or money."

Alex turned to Matthew. "What do we do?"

Matthew fixed his cold gaze on Zane. He had achieved his objective: Zane was no longer a problem for Rachel. But remembering Zane's threat against his family, Matthew's expression turned grim. He walked to an umbrella and yanked it from the sand. The sharp metal tip glistened. Then, he went to Zane.

Zane was bewildered. Seeing Matthew approach with the umbrella, he thought Matthew was offering shade. "No need for the umbrella. You're too generous—"

Matthew suddenly stabbed the metal tip into Zane's thigh with all his might. The metal pierced Zane's flesh, and blood gushed out.

Zane tensed and groaned in pain.

The two nearby bodyguards recoiled in fear. Peony's face paled; no one dared move. Everything happened too quickly. Alex was drenched in cold sweat, terrified by the violence.

Matthew coldly warned, "This is for threatening my family. If you do it again, I'll destroy Brotherhood."

After saying that, Matthew turned and left. Alex quickly caught up. "I messed up and acted impulsively last time, Mr. Grant. Uncle Marty gave me a good beating for it. I hope you don't hold it against me."

Matthew nodded. "You were lucky Marty stepped in, or it would have been me."

Alex recalled the scene of Matthew piercing Zane's thigh. He trembled. "Thank you for not going after me. I know I was wrong. If you need anything, just let me know. I'll do everything I can."

Matthew coldly replied, "I'm heading back to the company now. I don't need anything from you."

Alex felt regretful. Marty wanted him to curry favor with Matthew, but Matthew gave him no chance to help. He simply led Matthew away from the water park.

Matthew told Alex to go home, then walked to the roadside to hail a cab. No cabs were in sight.

Seeing this, Alex quickly approached. "Let me drive you, Mr. Grant."

Matthew shook his head. "I don't have a car now."

Alex was excited. "I came with a car. Hang on, I'll get it."

Soon after, Alex pulled up in a black Audi. The car stopped before Matthew, and Alex opened the door, displaying the professionalism of a seasoned chauffeur.

After Matthew got in, Alex started the engine and drove toward Wealthwave Group. Matthew sat in the backseat, puzzled. He was a chauffeur himself and never expected someone to drive him one day.

After arriving at Wealthwave Group, Matthew got out and said, "You should go home."

Alex smiled. "Feel free to go up. I'll wait downstairs if you need a ride."

Matthew talked to Alex for a while. Since Alex insisted, Matthew finally agreed and went inside.

Meanwhile, Rachel was on the phone with Fred. "What do we do, Grandpa? We had everything ready to begin production, but someone has seized the factory. Do we call the police?"

Fred replied, his expression darkening, "Those people must have a backup plan for when you call the police. Calling them now wouldn't help."

Rachel frowned. "So what now? No factory means no production. All our plans are on hold."
