Listen to this chapter:

Hank watched Matthew leave, then kicked his baseball bat away in a rage. He growled, “I’m telling Zane to destroy you! You’re as good as dead!”

The water park, located on the east side of Lambda City, boasted a man-made beach, various pools, lazy rivers, and numerous water attractions. Under a red umbrella on the faux beach, Zane relaxed in a chair as a woman massaged him. His phone rang.

Another woman handed him the phone. Seeing Hank’s name on the screen, Zane assumed it was a work update. He answered casually, “Stop calling me for every little thing, Hank.”

“I’m hurt, Mr. Steele. You have to avenge me,” Hank said.

Zane sat up sharply. “What? You’re hurt? Didn’t I assign over thirty men to you?”

Hank was in excruciating pain. “Everyone was hurt, and my leg is broken.”

Zane was taken aback. “What happened? No one is backing Wealthwave Group, right? How many people do they have?”

“Only one, but he’s a really good fighter,” Hank replied grimly.

Zane was shocked. “Only one man? When did such a skilled fighter appear in Lambda City? What’s his name?”

“I didn’t get a chance to ask. He’s coming for you at the water park. You have to get revenge for me, Mr. Steele. My leg can’t have been broken for nothing!”

Zane ended the call abruptly and barked at a nearby woman, “Get our two toughest fighters here, Peony. I’m taking someone out today.”

Peony calmly got up and returned with two water guns. Her fair complexion and stunning figure, barely concealed by her bikini, were accentuated by a peony tattoo on her chest. Carrying the guns, she walked along the beach, ignoring the surprised, horrified stares. She approached a child, raised a hand, and fired, spraying him with a thin stream of water. The startled child ran away, covering his head. Relieved to see it was only water, the onlookers continued their activities.

Peony approached Zane and handed him a gun. “Be careful, it’s loaded.”

Zane hid the gun and instructed, “Have someone ready to light the fireworks. The moment I shoot, light them to cover the gunshot.”

Peony smiled. “Already arranged.” She gestured to other women preparing the fireworks.

Shortly, two burly men approached. “Mr. Steele,” they greeted.

Zane chuckled confidently. “Someone tough is coming. Go all out and beat him to a pulp.”

Matthew arrived at the water park and inquired about Zane's location. A staff member, recognizing Matthew’s query, immediately directed him to Zane, explaining that he had a reservation. Matthew was surprised by the staff's familiarity with Zane, a bald man.

Upon seeing Matthew, Zane immediately accused him, “Was it you who broke Hank’s leg?”

Matthew was furious at the accusation. “Hank took over our factory. He started it.”

Zane nodded. “Yeah, I know. Hank made the first move. But how dare you cripple him? There are some people you simply can’t trifle with.” He continued, “But I’ll be merciful. Surrender yourself, and your family will be safe. Otherwise, I’ll take your family down with you.”
