Listen to this chapter:

Surprised, the doctor said, "You're right. This patient's symptoms indeed point to pleurisy, rather than heart disease. I didn't expect a diagnosis from traditional medicine methods to be so accurate." These words embarrassed the passersby who had mocked Maeve and Theo; they silently disappeared into the crowd. Even a doctor from First Hospital personally verified the diagnosis, making their earlier doubts seem foolish and humiliating. However, how could they know that such a young child was so talented? They wondered if he possessed some special ability. Someone in the crowd took out their phone and began recording a video. Maeve noticed but ignored it. Since Maeve and Theo were disguised, even those who knew them well might not recognize them. Ignoring the stares of the onlookers, Maeve took Theo's hand and left, unconcerned with fame or credit.

Two elegantly dressed women stood at the top of the stairs in the second-floor lobby, their affluent backgrounds evident. As they watched, a warm light seemed to flicker in their eyes. "Alexis," Lynn said gently, "that child is only a few years old. He can't have such abilities. His mother must have been guiding him." Alexis nodded. "His mother seems quite capable. Perhaps..." Lynn understood and interjected, "Alexis, leave this to me. I will definitely invite that female doctor to treat Mr. Gilbert and wake him up as soon as possible." "Lynn, you're a good kid," Alexis said, moved. "Then I'll leave this to you." "Don't worry," Lynn responded.

In the presidential suite, Maeve hugged Theo as he napped; the time difference was difficult to adjust to. In the evening, she asked the front desk to send food to their room. "Honey," she said, "Mommy is going to a fashion show tonight. I might not be back until later." Maeve changed into a gown. She reminded Theo, "Don't open the door for strangers, and don't let anyone know you're alone. If you need anything, call me immediately, alright?" Theo, lying on the sofa, wiggled his little feet. "Mommy, don't worry and go enjoy yourself. I can take care of myself." Although lively and active, Theo was usually reliable.

Maeve left with her invitation and bag. As soon as she left, Theo started playing a game, intending to catch up on time missed on the plane. He won the first round with a headshot, the second by attacking from a blind spot. In the third, he was ambushed and killed. The fourth roundโ€ฆ Finally, his opponent exclaimed, "[Are you done? You only know how to launch 'steak attacks' every time. As a man, can you be more transparent? I really look down on you.]" Theo chuckled. "[Didn't you ambush me once as well? You're not transparent either.]" The opponent replied, "[Do a one-on-one battle with me then.]" Theo responded, "[Let's go then! I'm not afraid of you! The loser will have to bow down before the winner!]"

A few minutes later, Theo won decisively. He typed, "[So? Satisfied now? Are you going to bow now?" He added several emojis of a husky shaking its butt. The opponent was silent so long that Theo thought he'd logged off. Then, the opponent replied, "[I'm not satisfied. What's so good about fighting in the game? If you're a real man, let's compete offline and see who's better.]" He sent an address, near the Gold Spire Hotel in Kleymond. Theo thought it was a coincidence that this gamer was staying at the same hotel. He replied, "[Sure, the loser can wait there for the winner.]" Theo remained in the room, having no intention of leaving.

Half an hour later, the opponent messaged, "[Are you here yet?]". Theo responded, "[Almost]". An hour later, the opponent asked again where he was. Theo had just seen Maeve's invitation and didn't respond immediately. After a while, he grabbed the invitation, hurried out of the hotel, and headed to the fashion show to find Maeve. The venue was nearby; he arrived in ten minutes, just as Maeve was entering. Maeve was worried about Theo alone and wanted to send him back before returning herself. Theo reassured her, "The hotel car is still downstairs. I know the way; I won't get lost. Mommy, don't worry, and go have fun!" He ran into the elevator and waved. Maeve laughed and cried; he was so young yet so independent.

Theo exited the elevator and headed to the parking lot. A hand grabbed his collar. A low, cold voice said, "Running around again? Didn't I tell you to stay at home obediently?" Theo struggled, then landed in a warm embrace. Looking up, he saw a handsome, almost exquisitely carved face. The man, tall and imposing in a black suit, exuded a mature aura. Theo's eyes widened. "Deadbeat Daddy?" he thought. He felt unlucky.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Byron frowned, holding the boy. Something felt wrong. "Will, have you gained weight recently?" he asked, noticing the boy felt heavier. This was a sore point for Theo. "Who are you calling fat? I'm just not that skinny!" he retorted. He thought, "It's not like I've eaten any of your food." A strange look crossed Byron's eyes. He hadn't seen this lively side of his son since he was two. "Are you unwell?" Byron asked seriously, touching Theo's forehead. His temperature seemed normal. Theo squirmed, trying to escape Byron's embrace. Byron sensed his rejection but put him down. Before Byron could speak, Theo slipped away. The parking lot lighting was poor, and Byron couldn't find him. "Archer, get someone to find the young master," Byron instructed. "Yes, Mr. Medaniel."

Byron sat in the car, pressing his temples. He recalled Theo's unusual behavior. Was Will angry because he'd mentioned his weight? Since when did he care about such things? Meanwhile, in a car nearby, a little boy waited for Theo, growing colder by the minute. The heater was on, but his face looked pale. He sat rigidly, his small size belied a powerful aura. "Mr. Medaniel, what's wrong?" the driver asked carefully. Will shook his head. "Mr. Medaniel, are we still waiting?" the driver asked. "No," Will pursed his lips. "A person who goes back on their word isn't worth paying attention to."
