"That's all," Will looked puzzled. If that were the case, Gilbert would have woken up hours ago.

Theo affirmed, "This psychiatric treatment requires long-term persistence. As I said, do it daily."

Will nodded and walked to the bedside. He placed his hand on Gilbert's, following instructions. However, as he spoke, he felt something was wrong; he felt like someone was making a fool of him.

Theo looked serious outwardly, but inwardly he was laughing so hard he was almost breathless. He was satisfied with successfully pranking his brother. He felt invincible. "Hi, Grandpa, I'm your great-grandson, Will. Please wake up," Will repeated this, subtly altering the phrasing each time, his expression unchanged.

Meanwhile, Theo pursed his lips. "He's quick on the uptake. This is getting boring!"

At that moment, Alexis exclaimed, "Is it just me, or did anyone see Dad move his fingers?"

"What?" Jason and several doctors rushed forward. They noticed Gilbert's hand moving slightly.

Will felt Gilbert's hand growing warm; the warmth flowed from his palm to his heart, a comforting sensation.

Meanwhile, Alexis and Jason were overjoyed. "Dr. Chatterly, is he about to wake up?"

Theo checked Gilbert's pulse and shook his head. "Not anytime soon, I'm afraid. Mr. McDaniel has been unconscious for too long. We need to be patient."

"Regardless, this is a good sign. It means the patient's senses are gradually recovering. Moreover, this is only the second time you've performed this treatment, Dr. Chatterly. This is a monumental achievement," an attending doctor praised. Alexis and Jason looked grateful. "Thank you, Dr. Chatterly. We're grateful to have met you." They were especially grateful they hadn't dismissed him because of his age; otherwise, Gilbert's condition would have worsened. A sigh of relief escaped them.

Theo remained calm as he picked up his bag. "I should go back. I'll return next week to give Mr. McDaniel another treatment." His attitude was cold, unlike a typical child—even calmer than most adults.

"Why do they give off a similar impression?" Alexis seemed to sense something as she looked at Will. "Could it be that geniuses have such personalities when young?"

Soon, Theo disappeared. Jason chased after him, wanting to personally see him home, but Theo refused. Although young, he had a strong sense of principle; those who treated Maeve badly were on his blacklist.

As Theo passed another ward, a hand pulled him inside. A child about his height stood before him. Theo's appearance might have changed, but their eyes were similar; even disguised, their resemblance was obvious. Theo looked at him. "Why did you pull me over? I've already told you the specific steps of his recovery."

"Stop pretending," Will said, his round eyes fixed on Theo. "You're my twin brother, right?"

Theo was surprised but feigned ignorance. "What are you talking about? I don't understand."

"Stop pretending! Grandpa and Grandma didn't say it, so how could you know I'm the patient's great-grandson? You already know who I am."

Will added calmly, "Also, you're terrible at changing your skin tone. I can see the color difference between the skin under your collar and your face. We must have shared the same skin tone."

"Damn it, how can he be so smart?" Theo's eyes widened. He stopped pretending. "That's right, you're right. Guessing my identity shows you're smart."

Will said humbly, "Thank you, but your disguise has many flaws."

"Wait, if you know who I am, why didn't you expose me?" Theo asked, confused.

A smile touched Will's usually calm face. "We're closer in terms of blood relations. Moreover, I'm the older brother and have a responsibility to protect my younger brother."

Theo was dissatisfied. "Who do you call 'younger brother'? I'm older. I haven't even acknowledged you yet!"

Will was puzzled. "Weren't you quite satisfied when you used my identity to ask Dad for dresses and dolls?"

"But weren't you happy eating the special muffins Mom usually made for me?" Theo retorted.

The brothers fell silent. They shared so many traits; there was no need for criticism.

"Look, if you refuse to acknowledge me, that's fine. But you can't deny we share the same blood," Will argued. "And we'll know who's older when you ask Mom."

"I won't ask her!" Theo frowned. "She's crying for you every night. Now that she's finally better, I can't bear to make her sad." He felt terrible whenever Maeve cried; it made him want to hurt his father. Will was stunned, his eyes filled with confusion. "Why? She was the one who...didn't she refuse to have me?"

"She would never abandon her child!" Theo was angry. "She was told there was an accident during delivery and one of us didn't make it. Bad people were chasing her. She was afraid I'd be taken, so she didn't have time to look for you."

Will had imagined many reasons Maeve didn't want him. He tried not to blame her, assuming she had her reasons. But a trace of fear remained—fear of rejection when he finally met Maeve.

Only then was Will's worry crushed by Theo's words. His eyes reddened slightly. "So, Mom didn't abandon me on purpose. She didn't know I existed, right?"

Theo's heart ached. He patted his brother's shoulder. "She thought you were gone. But she always wanted to find out the truth. Did you know that every time she buys something for me, she buys double? She knows the other one won't be used, but she still buys it for you. If she didn't love you, why would she do that?"

Will's emotional turmoil slowly subsided. He asked, "But why did Mom run away? And who was the bad guy?"

Theo grunted. "Your father!"

"Dad?" Will was puzzled. "Dad wouldn't do bad things to Mom. He never would! Was there a misunderstanding?"

"No misunderstanding!" Theo clarified. "Your father is a jerk whose only job is to make our mom sad!"

Will corrected, "Yet he's still your father. Your mom is also my mother."

"I won't acknowledge him as my father unless Mom agrees," Theo stood firm. "If you side with him and make things difficult for Mom, I won't hold back, even if you're my brother!"
