Chapter 15: Foul Mouth

"You're nothing without Josephine's backing, Jared. How dare you speak to Ley like that?" Sandy shouted.

Jared's expression turned solemn; a cold glint shone in his eyes. "Did you not brush your teeth? You have such a foul mouth."

He stepped forward and slapped her hard. Half her face instantly reddened and swelled before anyone could react.

Jeffrey was stunned. Jared had dared to strike Sandy, who was dating Leyton. Assaulting the heir of the Scott family's girlfriend was tantamount to suicide for an ordinary man like Jared.

"How dare you assault someone at our company entrance!" Jeffrey bellowed, turning to shout, "Security! Take him away!"

Two bodyguards moved toward Jared. However, Leyton remained silent, a fact Jeffrey, a mere office administrator, overlooked as he confronted Jared.

Jared easily evaded the bodyguards, then said to Jeffrey, "I'm from Sentiment Chemical Limited, here to discuss business."

Jeffrey snorted. "Our company doesn't do business with ill-mannered people. Besides, we're collaborating with the Scott family. Leave."

Jared's brows furrowed. "Are you the general manager of Cosmic Chemical?"

"No, I'm the office administrator, but I have a say in this collaboration. Leave," Jeffrey replied coldly.

Leyton leveled a murderous glare at Jared. "Just because you're a good fighter doesn't mean you're invincible, Jared. Josephine doesn't care about you anymore, and I can easily hire someone to eliminate you!"

Jared's slap had humiliated him.

"Don't just kill him. Torture him to death! And get rid of his parents, too!" Sandy hissed, enraged.

Mention of his parents ignited a furious malice in Jared's eyes; a murderous aura emanated from him. Sandy shivered, taking several steps back to hide behind Leyton.

Leyton was speechless. Jeffrey, however, was furious. "Security! Get this man out of my sight!"

Six bodyguards quickly surrounded Jared.

"So, a mere office administrator makes company decisions?" Jared said before walking into the company.

The bodyguards attacked.

Meanwhile, on the top floor, General Manager Raymond Green paced his office, extremely nervous. Tommy had informed him of Jared's arrival to discuss business, unsettling him deeply. Raymond had been at Walter's banquet and witnessed Tommy and Walter's respectful treatment of Jared, particularly impressed by how he'd dealt with Steven. Everyone at the banquet had vied for Jared's favor, including Raymond, but his lower status had prevented him from approaching Jared. Now, the prospect of collaborating with Jared filled him with anxiety—he feared offending him but desperately wanted to connect.
