The man's loud voice accidentally caught Jared's attention.

"Mr. Drake, I'm sure we can negotiate. This ginseng is a fine specimen, but twenty million is too much. Lower your price, and I'll pay immediately," Zeke proposed with a smile.

"Twenty million. Take it or leave it."

The middle-aged man stood, box in hand, ready to depart.

"Mr. Drake, wait! I'll take it. Goldenbirch Herbs will take it; we value your friendship," Zeke said, stopping him. He pulled out his phone. "I'll transfer the money now. If you have other excellent specimens, please bring them to Goldenbirch Herbs. I'll pay a fair price!"

"I suspect it's a fake!" Jared smirked.

The middle-aged man exploded. "What?! How dare you accuse my ginseng of being fake without even looking? Mr. Griffin examined it! It's genuine! If you're looking for trouble, I'm not someone to be trifled with!"

Zeke smiled, trying to calm him. "Mr. Drake, please. My friend's just joking."

Reassured, Zeke frowned at Jared. "Jared, I examined it; there's no problem. How do you know it's fake without even seeing it?"

"It's a fake. Let's have it tested. If he won't open the box, it proves me right!"

Jared's cold stare sent a chill down the man's spine.
