“Have mercy! I’ll give you all the expensive herbs in my store!” Zyaire pleaded, groveling at their feet.

“I won’t take your herbs without paying. I’m short on cash, so I’ll trade revitalizing pills for all your herbs over a hundred years old in Yeringham. Just tell Zeke how much you need, and we’ll exchange pills for herbs.”

Jared intended to pay Zyaire fairly; he wanted him as a long-term supplier.

“R-Revitalizing pills?” Zyaire’s head shot up. “A-Are you…?”

“Yes, I made them. And I’m the only one who can!” Jared declared.

Zeke offered an awkward smile. “Oh, I was curious about the revitalizing pills. B-By the way, is he really the infamous Mr. Lewis from Horington?” He glanced cautiously at Tommy.

Zeke’s excitement grew. If I become the agent, that’ll be a huge income!

“Don’t worry, Jared. I’ll supply the herbs. Only the best!” Zeke promised enthusiastically. “It’s noon. Let’s have lunch at the best restaurant in town—my treat!”

Frida kept glancing at Jared. Young women her age fell in love easily, and it was obvious she had feelings for him. If he weren’t Josephine’s boyfriend, she would have made a move.

“Oh, you’re blessed to have such a great boyfriend, Josephine,” Frida said enviously.

At the restaurant, Zeke ordered lavishly, even inviting Yasmin. Upon arrival, dressed in her business suit, Yasmin frowned at the spread. “Isn’t this excessive for just a few of us?”
