Chapter 358: Knight in Shining Armor

As Thomas spoke, he caught sight of Lily. "It's no wonder Mr. Grange was so bold today," he sneered mockingly. "Looks like he's on a date with his goddess. Are you trying to put on a tough-guy act for her?"

Suddenly, he grabbed Lily's waist. "Ms. Lily, why don't you keep me company instead?"

"Unfortunately, I already have a customer to attend to, Mr. York," Lily replied with an apologetic smile. "Perhaps another time?"

Now that I've found the perfect golden goose, I won't let this opportunity go to waste! he thought.

Slap!

Without warning, Thomas slapped Lily's cheek. "The audacity of a slut like you to deny my advances!"

Lily, shocked, touched her reddened cheek and stared at Thomas in indignation, unable to retaliate.

Jared glanced away, pretending to see nothing. He had no intention of rescuing her; he barely knew Lily.

In contrast, Oliver couldn't ignore it. Lily was the woman of his dreams, and he couldn't bear to see her slapped.

"Thomas, let Lily go! Are you even a man for hitting a woman?" Oliver snarled, advancing with a wine bottle.

Bang!

Before he could finish, one of Thomas's subordinates kicked Oliver. "Brat! How dare you speak to Mr. York like that?"

Oliver's expression darkened. Gritting his teeth, he lunged at Thomas, intending to smash the bottle on his head. "I'll kill you all!"

He was acting the part of a knight in shining armor, wanting to impress Lily with his bravery, regardless of the consequences.

However, he missed, and Thomas snatched the bottle. Their roles reversed as Thomas swung the bottle at Oliver's head.

Oliver, shocked, froze.

Just then, Jared, who had been motionless, moved. He grabbed Thomas's wrist, yanking him back. A sharp pain shot up Thomas's arm, forcing him to release the bottle.

"Drinking should be fun," Jared said, releasing Thomas and standing protectively in front of Oliver. "Why ruin it over a scarlet woman?" He couldn't ignore the situation; Oliver was Walter's grandson.

Thomas, furious at his bruised wrist, snarled, "Who the hell are you? Tell me your name!"

"Mr. York, he's Oliver's brother-in-law," Lily hissed, glaring at Jared. "He's nothing but an arrogant upstart!" Her ego was bruised by his earlier dismissal.

"You're Lizbeth's boyfriend?" Thomas sneered. "Just because Lizbeth's an investigator doesn't make you a bigshot. She's insignificant to meโ€”a speck of dust. She can't compare to this woman." He grabbed Lily's chin.

Jared's eyes narrowed. A menacing aura filled the room as he heard the insult. He kicked Thomas in the chest, sending him flying.

Whoosh!

Thomas soared several meters before crashing into a table, shattering it.

"Ahh!" The guests scattered.

Thomas, struggling to his feet, felt his body aching. "K-kill him!" he ordered furiously.

His subordinates were about to attack when a cold voice echoed, "Who's causing this nuisance in my bar? Don't you know who owns this place?"
