Chapter 388: Do Not Reject Me

“Maybe you’re right, and maybe he does want to kill me. But he will never allow others to do so. If you kill me, and the Jantz family perishes, he will surely make you all pay the price…”

Zachariah’s arrogance was overwhelming. He had recently learned that his brother was still alive and, as Jadeborough's instructor, was powerful. Zachariah assumed his brother wouldn't fear these Summerbank individuals.

“You talk too much,” Jared snorted, staring at Zachariah. With a single palm strike, he killed Zachariah, who collapsed and died.

The crowd fell silent. Anthony felt a mixture of emotions. Zachariah's death meant the end of the Jantz family. Derek's revenge would bring bloodshed to Summerbank. The Jadeborough instructor enjoyed the support of many prominent Jadeborough families, many of whom wished to invite him as a guest. Anthony knew this because a friend in Jadeborough, having learned Derek hailed from Summerbank in Jazona, contacted him. This friend believed Anthony, sharing Derek’s hometown, could influence him. This is how Anthony learned of Derek's survival and success in Jadeborough.

Luke approached Jared. “Mr. Chance, your strength is impressive. I recommend you lead the Warriors Alliance. If Derek attacks Summerbank, we’ll fight back under your leadership!”

“Yes, we agree! Mr. Chance should be our leader!”

“No one will oppose this!” The crowd agreed, having witnessed Jared's power firsthand. They believed a leader of his caliber would elevate the Warriors Alliance's reputation throughout Summerbank and beyond Jazona.

Jared glanced at the crowd and shook his head. “I’m not interested in leadership. Please make Phoenix the leader. I will still help the alliance.”

“Mr. Chance…” Phoenix was surprised by his nomination.

Jared waved her silent. He’d planned this. As his cultivation level increased, he'd need more resources; a leader could secure them. Phoenix, as leader, would find resources for him.

Luke readily agreed. “I agree. Zachariah is dead, and Bane is crippled, possibly fatally. Phoenix and I would be the only remaining directors. Phoenix is stronger than I am, so I support Mr. Chance’s suggestion!”

The other families and martial clubs followed suit. Phoenix officially became leader.

After the crowd dispersed, Luke approached Jared. “Mr. Chance, you were impressive today. I hope to learn from you in the future!” His attitude was respectful and humble.

“You’re too generous. I’m not qualified to teach you, but we can learn from each other.” Jared smiled faintly.

“Hahaha. Excellent! Don’t refuse if I invite you in the future!” Luke laughed heartily.
