The lavishly renovated office featured a three-meter-long desk at its center. Behind the desk sat a man in a suitโCharlie Hoffman, the bar manager and one of Tommy's lieutenants (otherwise, Tommy wouldn't have given him the position). A woman in a high-slit dress and heavy makeup massaged his head.
"Mr. Queen," Charlie asked, narrowing his eyes, "you seem displeased. What brings you to my office?"
"Mr. Hoffman, there's no order here! A group of unruly youths beat up my manโlook, there's a footprint!" Josh Queen exclaimed, pointing to a footprint clearly visible on his bodyguard's abdomen.
Charlie sprang up, eyes widening. "Is that true? Are they from the Crimson Dragon Gang?" He assumed only they would dare cause trouble on his turf.
"No, just a group of youths," Josh said, a cold glint in his eye. "I heard some girls in their room singing well and wanted to invite them to sing with me. They turned violent." He gritted his teeth. "I came to you first out of respect for Mr. Lewis, the owner. If you ignore this, I'll handle it myself."
"Agitated over kids? I'll send my men with you." Charlie shouted, "Bob!"
A fierce-looking man with tattooed arms entered. "Mr. Hoffman," Bob greeted.
"Someone's causing trouble. Go with Mr. Queen, handle it, but avoid killing anyone. Mr. Lewis wants us to keep a low profile," Charlie instructed.
"Understood, Mr. Hoffman," Bob nodded.
"Thank you, Mr. Hoffman!" Josh said.
"Don't mention it, Mr. Queen. We value your patronage," Charlie replied, smiling.
Josh and Bob, followed by more than ten bar fighters, returned to the private room where Zayne and others were excitedly drinking Lafite, their faces flushed. The door burst open. Seeing Josh and his men, Zayne and his companions panicked.
"Mr. Queen, who did it?" Bob asked.
Josh pointed at Zayne. "He hit my man."
Bob surveyed the sceneโordinary people, not gangsters. He approached Zayne. "You hit Mr. Queen's man?"
Fear gripped Zayne at the sight of Bob's muscles and tattoos, but emboldened by alcohol, he bravely nodded. "Yes, they were bullying my girlfriend."
