Chapter 110

Cora dared not disobey Joanna and switched off her phone. When Bruce called back, he reached customer service: "Hello, the phone you are trying to reach has been switched off" "Fuck!" Bruce exclaimed, throwing the phone on the table and panting heavily. This woman’s blatant disregard infuriated him. Once so submissive, she now dared to be arrogant. He muttered, "Women can't be spoiled."

"Mark, track Joanna's location," Bruce ordered.

"Yes, Mr. Everett," Mark replied, leaving the office immediately. Andy entered, and the two exchanged anxious glances before hurrying to their tasks. Mr. Everett is very irritable today, they thought. We must be careful!

"Mr. Everett, the phone is fixed," Andy announced.

"Bring it here!" Bruce demanded.

Andy respectfully handed him the phone. Joanna's phone was repaired, unlocked, and the data restored. Bruce examined it. It was her personal phone; the contacts included only close friends—Jaydon, Miranda, Kelly, Tracy, and others. Her work phone was separate, and Bruce wasn't listed. He only had her work number. Jealousy surged.

"Damn woman, you didn't save my number!" he raged.

He resentfully flipped through her photo album. Almost all the pictures were of her three children, documenting their growth from infancy. An inexplicable affection washed over him; he wished they were his own. But they were Jaydon's—infuriating! At the album's end were photos of a young Joanna and her mother. Then, a startling realization struck him. There were no photos of Jaydon with the children, despite being their father.

"How strange!" Bruce muttered. "What else is this woman hiding?"

His thoughts were interrupted by Mark.

"Mr. Everett, Miss Haynes's location has been found," Mark reported.

"Where is she?"

"She's nearby," Mark replied.

Bruce narrowed his eyes. "Alright, let's go to Porash now!"

"Mr. Everett, should we postpone today's schedule?" Mark asked. "The vice president from Melta and Aldano will be reporting, and you have lunch with the president of Rax Financial Group from Surbano…"

Bruce paused. "Let's wait a while," he decided. "Cancel tonight's social engagement."

"Yes, Mr. Everett."

That evening, Joanna and her team, exhausted but satisfied, had located suitable factory sites. One, a large old factory, was ready for immediate use. The other, cheaper, required construction.

"Let's look again tomorrow," Joanna said. "If nothing better arises, we'll choose between these two."

Michael, the marketing manager, frowned. "I think the first site is better. We can start immediately. Skywinds and Neorace have high volume; building a new factory takes months."

Joanna agreed. George, another marketing manager, countered, "But the second's rent is cheaper. Long-term, it's the better option."

"Alright," Joanna said. "Let's look again tomorrow and discuss it with Paul and Roger."

Cora smiled. "Then let's extend our hotel stay."

"Alright," Joanna agreed.

Michael smiled. "Miss Haynes, want to go out and relax?"
