Chapter 30
He had a fiery temper, much like Bruce.
Just then, lowering his head, he bit the man in black on the wrist. The man screamed, "Oops! How dare you!"
"Ouch!"
While the man in black rubbed his wrist, Davian punched him in the eyes. The man, in pain, released Davian, who fell to the ground. Despite the pain, Davian was unafraid. Quickly rising, he ran to the front, shouting, "Let my brother go! Let my brother go!"
"Help! Someone is abducting the children!"
Miranda also attacked one of the men in black, clinging to his ankle. The scene was chaotic.
Just then, Jaydon and Joanna's cars arrived, one after the other. Seeing the situation, Joanna immediately realized Bruce had sent the men.
"Stop it!" she said sternly.
Joanna quickly stopped her car, exiting without closing the door. She grabbed a thick electric baton from the trunk.
"Put my kids down!"
The electric baton hissed. Joanna charged at them, wielding the baton like a maniac. [Remove the website advertisement] The baton carried a strong current, and a man immediately fainted. Shocked, the men in black retreated.
"Put my kids down!" Joanna repeated.
However, these men were professional bodyguards. Hired by Bruce, their strength was considerable. After a few seconds, one of them kicked the baton from Joanna's hand, sending her to the ground.
Jaydon also stopped his car and rushed to her aid. He had practiced boxing since childhood and had won a championship; he could handle these men. Seeing a man about to kick Joanna, Jaydon intervened, engaging the men in a fight. Joanna joined the fight, but she was too weak to effectively help.
Chapter 30
She couldn't get close to the professional bodyguards.
"Miranda, call the police!"
"Okay, got it."
Miranda ran to the security room, which contained an alarm system with location and address information already set. With the press of a button, police would arrive within five minutes.
"Someone is kidnapping the children there."
Hearing this, the security guards rushed to investigate.
"It's a kidnapping! Someone is abducting the children"
"Let go of me! Let go of me!"
Davian and Irvin clung to the car door, refusing to be taken. Several security guards arrived, along with the sound of approaching police sirens. Many onlookers gathered.
In another car, Bruce's face darkened. He couldn't take the children today; the arrival of reporters and police would cause further trouble. His face hardening, he said into his pager, "Everybody, get in the car and go!"
The bodyguards, each wearing a headset, immediately obeyed. They released the children, got into the car, and sped away.
"Mommy" The frightened boys ran to Joanna. She embraced them.
"Davian! Irvin! Don't be afraid. Mommy is here. Let mommy check if you are hurt."
Davian had a scraped arm, bleeding slightly. Irvin had a finger-long scratch on his face, possibly scarring. Joanna was heartbroken.
Chapter 30
She was determined to prevent Bruce from taking her children.
"What's going on?" the security guards asked.
Miranda, panicked, explained, "Someone was abducting the children. They almost took them."
"Where are they?"
"They've run away."
"Come and make a statement for the police."
"Miranda, go with them. I'll take Davian and Irvin to the hospital."
"Okay, got it."
Jaydon was slightly injured—a twisted arm and a swollen face—but he had also inflicted damage: two of the bodyguards had broken arms, and one had lost a tooth.
Jaydon frowned. "Joanna, they didn't seem like typical child abductors."
Joanna replied coldly, "It was Bruce."
"Bruce? Did he know everything?"
"He must have suspected it."
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm confused. I don't know what to do."
"Joanna, we can't continue like this. If necessary, we can send Davian and Irvin abroad."
Joanna hesitated. She had been busy but always with her children. Sending them abroad meant she couldn't care for them directly, and she wouldn't trust others to do so. Therefore, she would have to go abroad with them.
