Chapter 1184

Skylar watched Natalie, captivated by the four-minute video clip. Joe's appearance on screen held her completely enthralled; time seemed to stand still. But the glimmer in her eyes dimmed when she heard Joe deny knowing Natalie.

Natalie, noticing Skylar's reaction, explained, "I'm not sure who that man is, but the woman called him 'Ned.' I think that's part of his name. I was too excited; I should have asked more questions."

"It's Joe," Skylar stated firmly. Her earlier concerns about misidentification were erased by the video's clear view of Joe. This was undoubtedly him.

Natalie was speechless. If this was Joe, she wondered what he'd endured in the past three years to disappear without a trace. Everyone had believed him dead. Looking back, nothing made sense. However, she decided against shattering Skylar's newfound hope. The man's identity seemed less crucial now.

Calming herself, Natalie considered the possibility of a striking resemblance. Identical faces weren't unheard of.

"Natalie, the director's calling for you," someone shouted.

"I'll be right there," Natalie replied, turning. Then, to Skylar, she said, "We're filming all night. Go home and rest. Don't stress. If it's really Joe, he's in Jipsburg—he's not going anywhere. He should come to you, not the other way around. Take care of yourself."

Seeing Natalie's concern, Skylar reassured her, "I'm fine, don't worry." A smile even touched Skylar's lips, easing Natalie's worries. "Alright, I'll call you tomorrow," Natalie said, relieved.

Skylar watched Natalie return to the café, then drove home.

Back at the café, Natalie resumed filming. Her role was small, only three or four lines, but essential to the scenes between the leads. She couldn't miss it. As she acted, she found herself drawn to Austin, a feeling reminiscent of their past time together on set. His acting, even after a three-year hiatus, remained astonishing.

The café scenes focused on the leads, two lawyers discussing cases over coffee. The subtle emotions reflected in their eyes created palpable tension. The pair were undeniably powerful.

As expected, the scene was set for 7:30 pm, but filming didn't wrap until the next day.
