Janine waved a hand dismissively. “At my age, I don't need many clothes. I don't need a different outfit every day like young people.”
Despite her protests, Skylar tried on the clothes, ultimately purchasing everything. Janine, believing Skylar looked good in anything and overwhelmed by choice, simply opted to buy it all. Eventually, Skylar persuaded Janine to choose a few outfits for herself.
While shopping, Charles called. Learning of their outing, he immediately transferred funds for two handbags each. Both Janine and Charles showered Skylar with extravagant gifts. Their shopping spree continued into the evening, culminating in dinner at a nearby restaurant.
During dinner, Skylar noticed a nearby livestream. To her surprise, the streamer was someone familiar: Annie.
Janine's brow furrowed slightly. "What a coincidence," she murmured. While once fond of Annie, her feelings had clearly changed.

“It’s quite easy,” Janine replied. “I even joined a band; we perform occasionally. I’ll let you know when we have a show in a few days.” The mention of her hobby effectively diverted Janine's attention from Annie. Skylar smiled and nodded, “That sounds great.”

Numerous rumors surrounded Annie online. “Steven says he’s in the underground parking lot and is coming up,” Janine informed Skylar.
